If you’re into places that feel like they’ve been around forever—maybe run by someone’s grandparents or longtime locals—this little breakfast joint is a gem. It’s definitely got that “oldest place in town” vibe. Probably run by a couple in their 50s who know every customer by name and treat everyone like family. Don’t expect trendy décor or spotless tile floors—this is no new-age diner. But it’s clean, cozy, and real.

The crowd? Mostly seniors, regulars, and friendly faces. It’s a hangout spot as much as it is a breakfast stop. I sat at a lunch-counter-style setup next to another customer—felt like we were at the same table, but it wasn’t awkward. Actually kind of nice. Very communal feel.

The food? Surprisingly great. I had pancakes, eggs, bacon, and home fries. Everything was seasoned perfectly—didn’t need to reach for salt or pepper once. I’m not sure if the pancakes were scratch-made or just came out tasting like it, but either way, they hit the spot. Much better than the fancy new diner just a few feet away, where the food felt more Instagram than appetite.

Service was very personal—both the cook and the waitress were familiar and friendly, but not pushy. I was clearly an outsider, but I felt welcome. That said, the place is cash only, which is worth knowing ahead of time.

Seating is limited—maybe room for 15 people max—but that just adds to the charm. If you’re nearby and want a simple, solid breakfast with no frills and lots of heart, this place is worth the stop.

Mancuso’s luncheon Delmar N.Y. this place is very unassuming, rundown building. Ordered pancakes with side of hashbrown and sausage. Pancakes were typical bisquick ,wish pancakes were homemade, homefries was delicious. Also farmers omelet was fresh ,cooked with onions and peppers .the tea selection was limited to lipton. If your in Delmar N.Y and crave breakfast give Mancuso a try.$$

I go to Mancuso’s for breakfast with a friend at least once a month and we’re never disappointed. Great food. Friendly service. And a warm sense of community. It just feels so comfortable there. It’s my favorite spot for breakfast. Highly recommend.

We were in Delmar to visit a high school friend. Got there a little early so looked for a local spot for a light lunch since we were going out to dinner later. Stumbled on to Mancuso’s and what a gem it is! Felt like we were stepping in to a 1970’s diner, with red stools at the counters. Everything is fresh made by the owner and his waitress/cook of 20+ years. We had to pass up the meatball special (not light), but other people were having that and it looked (and smelled) so good. Homemade baseball-sized meatballs in a red sauce. I had the tuna melt and my wife the egg salad, both with homemade macaroni salad that was super. Sat for a while and talked with the owner and waitress. What a great experience. Lots of local regulars, as we would be if we lived nearby. Cash only.
