My new favorite restaurant to dine at! I ordered delivery for an 18 inch cheese pizza. The pizza was cooked to perfection. I also ordered a philly cheese steak,it was delicious and everything was flavorful! I will most definitely be ordering again. I would post a picture of the food but it’s almost gone. My delivery driver was friendly and wonderful. My only regret is not ordering from Alex’s sooner!

**EDIT** Since my first experience, I reached out to the manager as suggested and they sent a replacement pizza free of charge! 10/10 this time and absolutely worth another try. The manager apologized for my interaction with the other employee and seemed equally surprised by their initial response. Will definitely give them another try in the future!**

Took over an hour for delivery, not horrible considering I understand they are so busy with new business. Delivery driver got lost and was from Keller. The pizza that was cooked the right was was pretty good! Perfect sauce to cheese ratio. However, the other pizza was half burned (literally black) We called to talk to someone about it and the guy just said “What do you want me to do about it?” I’ve worked in customer service and that response floored me. Not sure I will choose them over the other 2 pizza options in Godley. Definitely not a customer friendly experience. I can get over a mistake, but the lack of accountability for a $20 pizza is wild. Shame.

Is it possible to leave negative stars?

First time ordering- made a delivery order through their website for two slices of pizza and cheese bread ($25 with tip)

Ordered at 7:50, got a confirmation text saying the restaurant is busy and it would arrive late, 8:35 at the latest. Sure, that’s fine. 9:00 rolls around, we call the app that they do their orders through and the person on that end tells us the restaurant sent the order out 5 min ago.

9:30 rolls around (we live 1.2 miles from this place) and we call the restaurant. They tell us the order came through but the kitchen never got it the ticket..? The nice girl that answered the phone got her manager (because we just want a refund at this point) and after waiting for him to get to the phone for 8 minutes he tells us that he remembers packing the order and sending it out- his delivery guy must have dropped it off at the wrong house. We tell him we just want a refund, he said okay AND HUNG UP THE PHONE. My husband was seething at this point and went up there to make sure we were going to get our money back and THERE WAS NO APOLOGY.

We’re speechless with how horrendous this whole ordeal has been. Go with literally any other pizza place in a 10 mile radius. They don’t deserve your business.

This place is very good. The italian taste is really delicious. Everyone there is super kind and attentive. We drive like 25 minutes just to go there, because we really like it.

The pizza wasn’t as good as some people said in my opinion. The crust was good on the outside but underneath the cheese and sauce it was still raw very dowie that the best way to describe it.

Last night we decided to order pizza from Alex’s Pizza in Godley. When we first moved here, the restaurant was operating under a different name—and honestly, that first experience ranked among the worst. The pizza tasted dry and old, and the lukewarm soda with no ice, touted as “handcrafted locally,” was downright undrinkable.

Months later, seemingly under new ownership as Alex’s Pizza, we gave it another chance. This time, the difference was striking: the pizza sauce actually tasted like tomatoes (and was even red!), and the staff were polite and attentive. We liked it enough to add it to our little black book of places worth revisiting.

Fast forward to yesterday: freshly home from surgery, I was still too sore to go out, so we ordered takeout at Alex’s. Right from the start, something felt off. My wife called in a medium sausage and bell pepper pizza, but instead of clarifying or offering options, the person on the phone cut her off with a flat, “Is that it?” After each item, she had to interrupt just to finish the order, as though the employee couldn’t wait to hang up.

When she picked up the food, she was handed an extra-large pizza—but didn’t question it to avoid a scene. Once home, I opened the box to find a disappointing pie: a sprinkling of finely diced bell pepper (likely chopped small to look like more), small cut cubes of sausage with a grayish tinge, and the whole thing smothered in a transparent, clearly artificial cheese. I searched for the sauce but couldn’t find any.

It’s a shame, because at first it seemed like the new owners were making an honest effort to turn things around. Now it feels as though the “new” Alex’s is simply the old restaurant with a new name—serving the same bad pizza, with the same complacency. Last night, Alex’s Pizza lost two of its customers again, only this time it’s permanently.

Good food.
Nice folks.
Standing dust on window sills-with a forming dust bunny, so a little more attention to overall cleanliness would present better.

I’ve been here 3 times, and every experience has been amazing. My personal favorite has to be their stuffed pizza, but I’ve tried the deep dish lasagna pizza and Sicilian pizza . You definitely need to try their Elissa’s Garlic Bread. Probably the best garlic bread I’ve had on this planet. (Only been here for 33 years, so not long). This is the Garlic Bread I NEEDED in my life. Family owned business, Authentic pizza.
