Great coffee, and don’t even get me started on the lemon blossoms, scones, sticky buns, chocolate croissants…I have to stop – I’m making myself drool.
They have the best pizza in Evansville – I love the pesto chicken. It is definitely worth the drive down from Oregon.

Their pizza is great, but their donuts are amazing. Last year, another local restaurant was supposed to cater a birthday party for us, but they just stopped responding to contact after giving us a quote. Mama Rita’s stepped up and provided great food at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Ordered take out on a busy Friday night of a school function. We had a large order. We picked it up and when we got home, it was everything we hoped for. Whoever was baking pizza and cheese bread did an excellent job. The crust was perfectly done. The person that waited on me at the counter was professional and polite and efficient. He got me checked out in a hurry so I could be on my way. Mama Rita’s is a favorite place of ours for take out and eating in. Thanks for a good experience.

I stopped in for coffee and a treat with my daughter and had a great time. The Hawaiian Hazelnut coffee was delicious and we loved our Apple Praline muffin. The service was great and the atmosphere charming. We’ll definitely be back!

This is a well-rounded stop: delicious coffee, unbeatable bakery goods, and outrageously good pizza. In addition to wonderful edibles, the staff is always friendly. I can’t recommend this place enough.

My girlfriend lives in Evansville and she had great things to say about Mama Rita’s. Unfortunately I can’t say that I had a great experience myself.
Two weeks ago we called about 15 minutes before closing on a Saturday and we were informed that pizzas were no longer being made. If your open hours are posted until 10 PM, why are customers turned away before you’re actually closed? Needless to say we were very disappointed.
Friday night we called 20 minutes before closing and were happy to find out that we could order a pizza this time. I was asked if the order was for delivery or carry out, I asked about delivery and was informed that no, Mama Rita’s does not deliver. So I said well then I guess it’s for carry out isn’t it.
Tried to order the supreme with olives on half, and for some reason this was very confusing to whomever took our order. We had to clarify more than once that it wasn’t just black or just green, zero olives on half and black and green on the other half.
When I arrived to pick the pizza up the young man at the counter informed me it would be about 4 minutes until it was ready. I said please don’t rush it, I really don’t want an under cooked pizza. Happy to wait so that it’s fully cooked! Less than 2 minutes later my pizza was brought out, I opened it and said this looks under done…it’s pale, cheese is partially melted, crust isn’t browned and the vegetables are all raw. The young man at the counter assured me it was done, he actually said “I guarantee it’s done”.
I took it home, only 3 blocks away, immediately attempted to get the pizza onto a plate and it was certainly not done. It was barely warm, the bottom of the crust was light brown but couldn’t hold up the toppings, cheese wasn’t melty or stringy, and everything fell off. It was room temp at best, soggy, and terribly disappointing.
I really wanted to love this pizza, but unfortunately it just didn’t live up to expectations. I don’t know as though I’ll be giving this one another chance, I’m that disappointed with the pizza and service.
One last thing… imagine my surprise when I look on the website and see that Mama Rita’s DOES in fact deliver. If it was just too late, fine say so. Don’t ask what my preference is, then say oh no we don’t deliver. A quick explanation that it’s too close to closing for delivery would have been more than sufficient.

I ordered just a pizza with pepperoni and extra sausage about 3 weeks ago or so. It was average and I think they forgot my extra sausage. So tonight I ordered a pizza with pepperoni and triple sausage as the guy on the phone called it. I think they thought I said triple cheese because there’s enough cheese to start a small cheese store with on the pizza and 25 pieces of sausage and 17 pepperoni slices. I also ordered the garlic cheese bread that reminded me of the Orv’s Good n Garlic Cheese pizza you get in the frozen foods section of your local grocery store but the thin crust not the rising crust. Let’s just say that the 1☆ was 1 too much!! I’m very disappointed with my food and will never order pizza from Mama Ritas again.

Finally tried it after a few years of existence and it wasn’t worth the wait. The Pizza was very bland and had no flavor. I wanted nothing more for it than to be good, if not great. It tasted like it had pizza sauce from a can that wasn’t given any personal loving.
I also had some of their wings which weren’t bad but also nothing special. I’ve heard the chicken is good, but don’t know for sure. And now never will. While i wouldn’t have gone back for the pizza anyways, i’ve since found out that i have been banned for writing a bad review. No worries here, but that’s small towns for ya i guess.
Actually from what i’ve learned, the Sub shop, Rock N Rollz, has the best pizza in town.
It’s a shame, when u come from Chicago u tend to long for good pizza

I’ll give the pizza a 7/10 decent but not the greatest. The service gets 8/10 cuz it took 35 minutes to get 1 pizza. Overall I wouldve gave 4 stars but the bakery is just an empty cooler and that was half the reason we went
