I told them I think they may have mixed up the order. I opened the to go box and showed the server/person I spoke with over the phone. She immediately got defensive and told me, “I didn’t mixed up the order, you ordered a cheesesteak with onions, extra meat and extra provolone cheese”, then told me that’s what I got. I told her this isn’t a cheesesteak, it’s literally a burger patty, with what I mentioned above. The cook was nearby and said I got a cheesesteak, what I ordered. Then asked me, “do you know what a cheesesteak is?” I told him a sandwich with thinly sliced/shaved steak and cheese. He said well, that’s how they taught me how to make it. Then he said, “well you screwed things up when you asked for extra meat and extra cheese”. I’m like all that means is adding additional thinly sliced/shaved steak and extra provolone cheese. The server then said she couldn’t refund me and couldn’t pull up my order, although she just read me my order, but her manager will be in tomorrow and I can ask him. Terrible experience. I’m never ordering from here again.
We started with “The Point” Irish Nachos which were fries with cheese, pico de gallo, bacon, and sour cream. They were very good.
The wife ordered the Bacon Mac and Cheese and I had the the Beer Battered Fish. The bacon mac and cheese was a large portion and it was quite delicious. My beer battered fish (cod) was excellently breaded and was super tasty. We both enjoyed our entrees. For dessert, we ordered the Chunky Monkey brownie with ice cream on the side. It was incredibly good.
I definitely got my fish and chips kick satisfied.
The restaurant has some TVs inside showing sports and a decent sized bar inside as well.
We would totally go back to eat here again.
For starters, the friendliness was unmatched. I couldn’t have felt more welcome if my personal friends worked here. Second, they were more than willing to accommodate my request for a wing sauce that wasn’t listed on the menu. I like Sweet BBQ, but I also want plenty of spice – so the cook listened to what I described, and made up something for me – and it was delicious!
Large meaty BBQ Wings that are sticky and sweet, but had a zip of spiciness along the way. I enjoyed these as much as any wings I’ve had in a while (and if you follow me, you know I eat a lot of Wings!)
A definite favorite, for the food and the hospitality. Highly recommend you check out The Point Pub & Grill.
The service was top-notch—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. The staff made us feel welcome and ensured we had everything we needed. And the atmosphere? Perfect! It’s a cozy, relaxed vibe with just the right amount of energy.
If you’re looking for a memorable meal with excellent service and a fantastic vegan menu, I highly recommend this place. Can’t wait to come back!
