Really disappointed.
We ordered a selection to share and every dish was poor.
Beef biria tacos, still trying to find the beef and burnt on one side
Chicken wings, 5 pieces received only 3 albeit large ones. Yuzu and chilli – no flavour at all.
Hot honey sesame fried chicken loaded fries. Fries & chicken were lukewarm warm at most.
Staff also didn’t look interested at all.
Ended up leaving half the food.
Wanted to love this so much as love BBQ food but left bitterly disappointed.

Hidden Gem. Absolutely beautiful all day brunches. Pancakes are amazing and my friend had the full breakfast. She said was fab and looked ace.

Amazing place, a must stop if you are in the area. The food was amazing and staff even better. Super helpful and kind to share places for us to stop and local food to try while we are in the area. we defiantly will be coming back tomorrow morning before we head out.

After waiting 1 hour for our food, with a 2 year old, without any warning the wait would be so long, we were presented with the worst children’s burger patty I’ve honestly ever seen. The meat was as thin as a piece of paper, had holes in it and would take approximately 1 minute to cook.

The waitress was lovely however she did try to excuse the state of the burger at first by calling it a smash buger. The burger was remade and had a more substantial burger patty which was slightly pink in the middle which I wouldn’t expect especially not for a child. Our loaded fries were fine but certainly not worth an hours wait. Overall a pretty disappointing experience.

The first time we went it was very reasonable at about £7 for loaded tots. Having returned last weekend we paid £16 per loaded fries/tots. I realise they’ve had to close there bar and are re-finding their feet but I don’t think passing your financial issues on to the customer is fair and sadly I can’t justify £37 for 2 drinks and 2 ‘mains’ (basically a large side) with today’s financial crisis. Hopefully they settle back to their original value.

Had a great wee brunch at @theoldsmiddyaberdeen @smokeandsoul the other day

If there are vegan pancakes (or any kind of sweet brunch option) you best believe I’m ordering them!

My partner went for the breakfast hash which I tried and the hash brown tater tots were so crispy and delicious, would defo get them as a side in future. My pancakes were perfectly balanced with the toppings and fluffy. Portion sizes were decent so left full and the drinks were great, matcha was 10/10. Can’t believe we left it so long to come by, will be back and luckily there are quite a few other plant based options to try (although would love to see a vegan breakfast and/ or some sausages for filled rolls)
dog friendly too

This was our first visit to the Old Smiddy and we really enjoyed it. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is so friendly, charming and rustic. We loved it, had a real BBQ pit kinda feel. We went early and we are glad we did as it is very popular and got quite busy. Don’t know when we’ll get back again as they are only open at lunch time but I am already looking forward to it and will try to make it happen soon. Finally something awesome in Bridge of Don!
Enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast today. It was delicious. The meat was so tender and succulent and all the vegetables and other bits were perfectly cooked. It is pricey for a Sunday roast but it is worth it.

I’ve been wanting to come here for a while now and was not disappointed. We enjoyed the breakfast hash and the bacon and maple syrup pancakes. The tater tots are unreal and the whipped butter with the pancakes was something I never knew I needed too! Both were delicious.
Only downside was they don’t do decaf coffee.
Thank you for being one of the few places open in Aberdeen on a Monday. I’ll be back!

Had birria tacos, beef short rib “crammed” croissant and beef dripping fries.

Tacos were tasty enough but were really quite small.

Most disappointed with the crammed croissant, even more so after seeing the promotion for it. I had 3 tiny bits of beef, the promo video shows 3/4 times more meat that what I received. The croissant was nothing more than a cold supermarket croissant.

Beef dripping fries were tasty, definitely helped fill us both up.

We went here with colleagues. Is is self service. Pay for your order and collect your food. Limited but good options. The venue has good vibes and is very clean and well kept. The place is dog friendly and a water bowl for pets is provided.
Food is good and everyone liked their meal. The loaded fries were perfect. Good place if you are looking for a quick lunch.
