I was really excited to see this extension of Sunshine HK Cafe as a kiosk stand for classic Chinese street food bites. I was even happier to see vegetarian options in every category they offer. I went twice and tried the jian bing, veggie custom rice roll called nòi mì tǔan in Mandarin. I really enjoyed the fillings which are a combination of vermicelli, carrots, jicama, lettuce and black wood ear. The rice roll had pickled mustard greens, a marinated egg, and veggie floss generally made of mushroom. It’s rare to find these items be veggie friendly and I really appreciate the ingenuity. A couple of areas of improvement are that the vegan floss tasted a bit old/stale and there is a 15-20 minute wait for your order. It’s definitely more of a to-go place as there’s only one standing table and sidewalk bench. Overall I’m really happy this place is here and will be back to try more items!

This was our first time eating here. We were only customers at the time but they opened about 15 minutes prior so it was not busy at all. They have this really large tablet-like screen at the entrance where you make the order and pay. As great it is to see the pictures of items you are ordering, the human interaction is missing. Food took a little bit longer than expected but it wasn’t very late. It was brought to us by a cook. No utensils were provided. Utensils were inside as well as napkins, all self serve. The food was good. The place lacked human interaction. It’s great for take out but i would not recommend dine in.

Lots of awesome flavors. So worth it, especially because I had never tasted anything like it before. The salad was super healthy and had the coolest tangy sauce. I recommend the steak -can’t remember what it’s called. So tasty. The owners were there, and showed a lot of respect! I think that makes such a difference. Would highly recommend this place for lunch, it was served fast, or dinner take-out. Don’t miss the sign, it’s a small place. I feel dumb not noticing this place was there, so I hope people see the review!

Delicious, authentic Lebanese food. I just wish they offered a platter that included meat, hummus, baba ghanoush and bulgur instead of having to buy the baba ghanoush and bulgur as extra side dishes

Delicious food, great service, generous owner, & nice skilled chefs. I appreciated the batata (potato) sandwich so much since it’s the one and only place in the bay area I know that makes it. My friends ordered Tawook plate and heaven sandwich which were also the best we’ve ever tried. The place’s sign is a little small so one might miss it but the address is correct. Thank you, Jood, for the great experience. We’re looking forward to repeat it all.

All the meat is Halal! Very convenient if you’re looking for halal food in San Carlos! Great taste. But they do take a while to make the food, so not ideal if you’re in a rush.

Second best chicken sandwich ever! Chewy, creamy, tangy. And the fries were crisp even after they cooled down. I’ll be back.

It was very good when they just started. Now is ok. Meat was burn most of the time. One time I got old fries that I couldn’t eat them. So hard to chew.

I got the Chargrilled Minced & Kneaded and the Hummus side and spent around $35 with tax and tip.
They don’t let paying customers use the restroom. Had to try the nearby stores and got denied. I ended up taking the food to go to use the restroom.
I opened my food and immediately found a hair on the hummus.
The shop is very cold.
I gave them a tip, but now I regret it.
