Taqueria Luna is easily my favorite spot in SE Portland when I’m craving a burrito. My wife and I are both vegan, and while most of their menu is standard non-vegan Mexican, their veggie burrito is truly exceptional. It’s hands down the best we’ve ever had—flavorful, full of great beans and rice and veggies,, and always prepared exactly the way we order it — vegano, so no cheese, no sour cream. Never had an issue with accidental cheese, which is more than I can say for any other place I order. Perfect attention to detail.
The family who runs the cart is always kind, welcoming, and makes the whole ordering experience smooth. If it were up to me, I’d eat here nearly every day. The only downside is that the hours can be unpredictable—like most food carts, they sometimes need to close due to weather, family matters, or just the realities of running a small operation. My advice: call ahead to make sure they’re open before heading over. Even with that caveat, Taqueria Luna will always be my first choice when I want a burrito.

As a Salvadorian born and raised in LA, I have to say this place is legit. Great tasting food, I’ve had the burritos, tortas and tacos. All are delicious due to the ingredients used, not greasy yet so tasty!! This place is a must

I do love a good Mexican cart… Unfortunately, this one did not blow my hair back. At $13, I had expected a little more zaz from my fajita burrito. I was quite disappointed, however, to find that it was petite and mainly rice. So, if you’re looking for an overpriced rice fajita burrito, this may be the place for you. It’s just not for me, though… Thank you, no thank you.

We ordered the fish taco plate, carnitas taco plate, and guacamole with chips. Friendly people and good tacos. I forgot to ask if they fried the fish in the tacos. That was my mistake. They are fried. I’m gluten-free.

The best al pastor burrito I’ve had so far in PDX. Great prices, service, and menu options. Small food cart complex with mostly outdoor seating, but some limited indoor seating available. I will return as often as I can!

I had the carnitas burrito suizo, which was aromatic and pretty tasty. Spicy hot sauce was decent, too

Vegan burrito is perfection. The beans are so darn savory that I think about them after the last bite. Peppers and onions are fire roasted and add so much flavor. Nice ratio of rice with beans and greens. I really don’t think I’ve had a better burrito and I lived in Mexico for a year. The price is right and the family is super friendly. Pro tip—burrito is best with the green salsa. Get two as they are small.
