If you’re in Mt. Airy, you need to stop in and have Whit’s frozen custard. You won’t be disappointed! The custard is made fresh everyday. The selection of flavors is amazing! Everything we got today was fantastic.
The owner is super friendly and makes you feel welcome.

Incredible! Definitely stop by for this amazing custard. I asked if they had butter pecan flavor. Very nice person said she could make it for me. Oh my gosh! She then mixed the vanilla custard, toasted pecans and flavoring to make the most delicious butter pecan custard! I wish we lived nearby instead of just visiting.

two stars because of experience.. Ice Cream is 5 stars because its delicious! First time we went everything was perfect.. second time it was some younger girls working and i asked for something they didnt have but she said they could mix some ingrediants to make what i wanted and i agreed. well i wanted in a waffle cone.. needless to say the things did not make a smoth mix, it was all very watery when she out it in the cone.. as soon as she realized that happened she shouldve asked if i still wanted it and i didnt say anything bc i dont want to be difficult but part of customer service is realizing an issue and making it right.. basically i had a malt if that.. for my other order i asked for a broken waffle cone into the ice cream with caramel.. well very little caramel was put in and half of the cone which im sire i paid for full price anyway.. idk why they just didnt put it in a bigger container.. anywho for that they get a poor rating but the ice cream is delicious!

The frozen custard is out of this world. All flavors that we have been able to try are delicious. However, there seems to be no consistency regarding opening hours. On many occasions, we have made a special trip for ice cream only to find that the store was closed, even though their online store hours indicate otherwise. We would love to patronize this store more often but are frustrated by their inconsistent hours.

We love this place. They have a flavor of the week that varies. You can also get other menu items like sundaes, floats, or freezer items like previously made custards in pints or chocolate dipped bananas. There are no wrong choices as it’s all so good. The staff is always friendly. The place is tiny inside, so if they’re busy, be prepared to stand outside. There is a bench to sit on and more just around the corner. Our Main Street is one way only and if there’s no street parking available, there are a few public lots nearby and they are free.
