I was so incredibly disappointed by the KC Hall’s fish fry during the 2024 Lenten season. I honestly have not had a worse experience with a fish fry. We paid over $20 per fish plate for a measly two pieces of flavorless battered cod, and two sides- more than $60 for a family of three on a Friday afternoon. The fried shrimp was also bland. My husband literally ran to the bathroom to throw up after eating the first few bites of fish. The detail that surprises me most is that the Beast has partnered with the hall to put on the fish fry. The Beast’s food is incredible (at their home location), but their fish was awful. I was astonished.
I used to get takeout from here with my grandparents during the Lenten season from 2011-2015 or so and loved it. The portions were greater, flavor was better, and prices lower. I don’t know why they veered in the direction they did. I won’t be back.

We walked in last night just as the kitchen was closing. And George, the chef found out that we wanted food. He came out and generously offered To cook whatever we wanted for us. I ordered the cheeseburger and had a side salad with the garlic Parmesan wings. You can tell he really enjoys cooking for people because of the high-quality. Thanks, George!

Fish fry every Friday night and the food is delicious. Best shrimp you can get and my husband loves the fried cod. The sides are excellent and they also have side salad and beets. Drinks you have to buy at the bar for $1.25 for soft drinks.

I love going here! The cod plates are amazing! Great food , portions are big, and prices are great. I would have taken a picture of my cod plate, but I ate it already!
My child’s chicken strips went fast too as they also were tasty, but I snagged a quick photo before they were gone!

Dave does it again with Smoke & Kettle! Fish and sides were fantastic, and like anything he’s associated with, so were the people providing the service.
He just seems to care a little more about all the ingredients, flavor, and preparation he puts into his dishes. St. Clair county is fortunate to have him around.

Went for the fish fry. The food has gone down hill since they’ve moved from Swansea. They were out of cod by 5:15 and were not busy. We won’t be going back and by the look of things we are not the only ones.

The fish was very good and Shrimp were huge. Very satisfied with the food but Lint is not a good time to go. Stood in line to order 45 minutes and received food an hour after that. Very busy!!

The KofC hold a wonderful fishfry. The company who now takes care of the food has several choices if fish and 8 sides to choose from. The service is quick and your food is brought to your table.
I like that they have a sweet & sour slaw as well as a creamy one.
