Located inside the Museum of Appalachia Main Building, our Restaurant serves home-cooked daily lunch specials everyday from 11am until 2pm. Soups, sandwiches, beans, drinks and desserts until 3pm. You do NOT have to pay an admission fee to dine in our Restaurant. Pull up a chair and enjoy a meal as they’ve been fixed in country kitchens for generations. Our homestyle cooking restaurant features delicious casseroles, hearty entrees, tantalizing sides and homemade desserts. The Restaurant at Museum of Appalachia offers cafe’ style service. Order from our counter from a daily menu board and then take your seat; we will bring your food to you. It’s relaxing, cozy and comfortable with a fabulous view.

Didn’t know you could just come to eat but the food was awesome! I got the chicken salad on a toasted sourdough and potato soup! Was 10/10 will be back here for sure! Also said the ham and potato casserole was good! A great price and good food!

This was our first time and it was disappointing.
The macaroni and cheese was runny
The Chicken had no seasoning
Stuffing was dry
And there was too much mustard and relish in the potato salad not enough mayonnaise

Great country food, this is not the type of restaurant where a waitress or waiter serves u, u go and wait in line and order at counter then u go sit down and they bring it to u, if u need refills on drinks u will have to wait in line at counter, I stopped eating here because prices went up and due to the type of restaurant it’s just not worth the asking price, but great food.
The menu changes daily so u have to either call and ask what is on the menu or check website, but website isn’t always updated
