Really enjoyed the food here. They were pretty busy but service was still on the spot. Birria Pizzadilla was really good and the steak with chimichurri sauce was a very pleasant surprise. Chips were fresh and salsa seemed homemade. Not much to complain about here!

This place is great. The price is very fair, free chips and salsa, and good portion sizes. Service was also excellent, and you can see where they’re coking, so you know it’s being made fresh to order. The only thing that would make this place any better is if they had a liquor license!

We came in and seated ourselves; we were greeted warmly right away by our server. The decor is cute and modern with bright colors and has a good vibe. The menu is really interesting – there are a lot of good items on it and it was hard to choose! I was really tempted by the birria ramen – I may have to come back just to try that. I like that they have traditional Mexican/Tex Mex food as well as wings, burgers, and salads. Anyone would be happy eating here.

To start, the chips came out hot and freshly fried and the salsa is nice and mild with a lot of tomato flavor. My Mom ordered the Ghost smash burger and I had the spice dusted wings. Both of those come with fries or tots, and we got fries. I also got a side salad with their southwest Caesar dressing, and it was really good. Topped with fresh tortilla strips and a decent amount of dressing – it wasn’t overdressed, but I might get it on the side next time. Fresh and yummy. I really enjoyed the wings – they were a decent size and not overly breaded or frozen wing dings. These are legit chicken wings and I love the spice mixture as well as the delicious cotija ranch type dressing they come with. That’s really good. My Mom’s burger was also delicious – nice and hot with queso sauce and a fresh soft bun. A pretty perfect large burger. I will say that they’re using frozen potato products, but with such a small workspace, I can see why that’s necessary. And I’m not mad at it – the prices are very reasonable, and they came out hot and crispy with seasoning on them, so they’re definitely decent.

We’ll be back every time we’re in Pontiac! They’re very close to the UWM campus and sports complex, so that’s a big plus. They have specials, and on Saturdays KIDS EAT FREE!

Stopped in for lunch on a Friday…
What an under-the-radar gem.

Complimentary chips & salsa for dining in.
Chips were warm and tasted homemade, and the salsa was flavorful and bright (almost a hint sweet!).
Coconut shrimp tacos were delicious and flavorful.
Ghosts puppies were crunchy outside and soft inside, warm and well-rounded flavors (could have used a little more sauce than the drizzle, but that’s just a personal preference).
They were out of actual horchata today (referencing a bday party they recently hosted and who drank all of it, ha), so I got frozen (à la slushee) horchata which was decent.
The food came quickly, and Jessica was an attentive and welcoming waitress.
Very cool decor/vibes inside, and Latin music playing overhead. (It got a little noisy inside as time passed, but that’s not a dealbreaker by any means.)
FYI: Bills can be paid with cash, or by CC via scanned QR code printed on the receipt.
Plus, they have wha look like some solid daily specials… will have to bring my boys back here!

Highly recommend. ☺️

It was okay. The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. Sort of just in the middle. A few things did stand out: the ghost puppies and their green hot sauce. I wouldn’t call it hot, but it was bright, citrusy and flavorful. The ghost puppies were delicious, crispy outside and soft inside. We had the queso dip, puppies, guaco tacos, pastor tacos and rice/beans.

Very clean, “modern” look. Off the road, easy pull in and parking. William provided great service and helped us select food options. Taco Tuesday, is $3 off any taco option. Chips and salsa come worth it and I would also opt for the $4.50 beans, rice and soft drink. The Pollo and the carne assada were good tacos. Darker salsa was a bit too hot for me, but my mouth can’t take hot stuff. Anyway it was a good stop on our way through Pontiac. A lot of opertunity here.

I had an awesome experience at Ghost Modern Mexican in Pontiac! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Sally—such a great first impression. The vibe was inviting, and the service continued to impress throughout our visit.

We started with chips and salsa, and I really appreciated that they brought both mild and hot options. The chips were perfectly crispy, and the hot salsa had just the right amount of kick—absolutely delicious.

I had a tough time choosing what to order because everything looked so good. I ended up going with the street tacos and tried one al pastor, one grilled shrimp, and one shredded chicken. The shrimp taco was especially flavorful, and the al pastor was packed with taste. My buddy got the dry rub wings (I tried one—amazing!) and also ordered street tacos, which he loved.

They’ve only been open a couple weeks, but I’m really rooting for them. The food was top-tier, and even though they don’t have margaritas yet, their mocktails are a fun and tasty alternative.

Definitely a new favorite spot—can’t wait to come back!

The portions are very skimpy for the price and are nothing like the pictures they list on their website. $12 for 6 pieces of cauliflower is ridiculous. 3 strands of cheese on their gringo tacos, again, ridiculous. Maybe it makes a difference if you dine in. 🙁

Wow. I’m so glad this place was recommended to me for lunch. What a great place to grab a bite and enjoy great company.

Perfect for business lunches or networking over a phenomenal modern Mexican meal. Ghost does not disappoint. The food and drinks are presented well, way beyond expectations. But nothing tops how amazing the staff is. So they very friendly and so well educated with everything they have to offer.

Our plates were served up fast too. Minimal wait time. The staff made sure to check in on us regularly as well while the food was being prepared. They were also very keen on making sure one of our plates met specific dietary restrictions.

Pretty sure I found my new favorite place for lunch. Highly recommended and conveniently located on south blvd and Woodward.

Was so happy to have found GHOST again! I was a pretty regular customer at their Commerce Township location so I was pretty familiar with the quality and integrity of the food. A trio of us went for lunch and was very pleasantly surprised at the menu, the quality of the food delivered to the table, the service was fantastic, and the prices were fantastic. I had to order the Sonoran GUAC DAWG. My oh my! This was so delicious. Very excited to return and try something else. But the guac dog may be on my regular rotation list.

We’ve been patiently waiting for this place to open because the decor from the outside looked really cool. My husband and I just had this is our first meal here and it was fantastic! Sally the waitress was super nice, and we got our food pretty quickly. We tried the fried cauliflower which was absolutely amazing and I’m super excited for my vegetarian friends and family to partake! We also had a couple of different types of tacos, and the jalapeno cornbread. Will definitely have to swing by on Taco Tuesday when they have their $3 off tacos deal and try some shrimp tacos next time! (Side note, their mango mojito mocktail was fantastic)
