What a gem of a tea house for a delightful afternoon. Whether you are solo, a duo, or a group out for fun this is the place to impart some lovely conversation, delicious food, treats, and of course some of the best tea ever. We enjoyed the Sandwiches and Savory option with a chicken salad croissant, salad with poppyseed dressing and a perfect amount of Mac and cheese. We had trouble deciding but managed to love everything. If we had more room we could have ordered more! So many options. I loved the choices and best part, everyone in the party can order what they want. You don’t have to do the same dishes/tea/etc. – great for those dealing with any health restrictions or dietary restrictions. But you never feel like you are missing out!
We ended our meal with a scone and it was so worth it. Even the fruit on the side was fresh and amazing. Each touch is perfect. No need to rush. Busy event going on in downtown so just be prepared to find alternate parking but what a great opportunity to have so many fun things happening in downtown! This is the best addition to Monroe yet. We loved our service and conversation with the owner and her family – they welcomed us, answered questions, and spent great time relaxing and drinking our tea. So many choices. All delicious. What is awesome is the bottomless tea means you can try different varieties and my friend and I chose and sampled. What a treat. Make your reservation and get to the newest treasure in Downtown Monroe. We will be back!

Visited Tea Time at the Cottage today and it was nothing less than amazing. From the tea to all of the home-made food items nothing was disappointing. Tried two different teas, a black tea and green tea and both were spectacular. The scones, sandwiches & more were delicious and delightful.I would definitely recommend booking a date here at the cottage.

I was more than pleased with the experience at Tea Time at the Cottage! I have been long awaiting the opening of this small family tea house. Walking in, the cottage was decorated so nicely! Every single aspect is hand picked to create the most cozy and elegant experience. The tea is brewed well, and I reccomednd the Ferry Dust for a good lightly sweet tasting tea. All courses of foods were absolutely amazing with each one being so specially made to taste perfect. The wonderful woman behind it all came out to greet us and check to see how we liked the experience– and I haven’t had better from any other tea house I have traveled to! I will be back to support this small business, Monroe is even better with Tea Time at the Cottage!!

We had a wonderful experience at the tea cottage today! Visited as a party of 3 in celebration of my birthday. I am a lover of hot tea and all of the flavors were delicious! The food and service was amazing! Shout out to the twins, Jack and Jace, for making our visit truly exceptional! Very friendly and attentive! I loved that you can swap between different tea flavors as part of the cost of the meal. Will definitely be visiting again! Even the owner came out to greet us!

I have been wanting to have an afternoon tea for some time now! I’ve been eyeing this place for about 3 months or so and finally got the opportunity to go. And boy was I pleased!!! The service was hands down some of the best customer service I have ever received (it was twin guys and if you’re reading this thank you for making my day so wonderful) and the food was OUTSTANDING! it was the perfect amount of food and tea. Everything was brilliant. I can’t wait to come back! Thank you again!!

This was well worth the 40 minute drive! If you are looking for an authentic HIIT experience, this is the place to go. Everything was delicious, the salad, the bottomless tea, the three tier… Indescribable Everything is made and baked fresh. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish! The location is beautifully decorated and pristine. The menu had an option for everyone and every single dish was delicious and beautifully presented. I could literally live off of the pear and sweet potato soup that was prepared that day! I left full and very very happy, Can’t wait to return!

This was my second visit, and I will definitely be back! The food is amazing, they have so many delicious tea options! All of the employees are super helpful and spend time explaining the menu and teas. This is my favorite place in Monroe. What a cute addition to downtown!

As someone who has had the opportunity to have afternoon tea in several settings, including at multiple locations of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Tea Time at the Cottage is well-worth the trip and provides a memorable experience. Everything was delectable. The tea selection makes it easy to find just the right tea for you. The food, oh so good. Soup, salad, chocolate chip scones, fruits, etc. Yum. It’s a perfect place to have some light fare. The staff were friendly and helpful and the ambience was so cozy. We’d been looking for a new place to have tea since the closing of the Madison Tea Room and Tea Time at the Cottage is well worth the drive and I look forward to visiting again… and frequently.
