This is now our go-to-spot for vegan Thai food. They offer several of their dishes prepared with vegan ingredients … you can easily see the vegan options on their menu. We tried their vegan versions of gyoza, fried tofu, and basil fried rice. The basil fried rice was the most impressive and is the best vegan version we have enjoyed anywhere.
The fried tofu appetizer was also great with a slight crisp to the exterior and served piping hot, fresh out of the fryer. Their sweet and sour dipping sauce with peanuts was enjoyable. Their Thai lime iced tea was a great way to help cope with the summer heat until the food was delivered. The crew was pleasant and brought the food out as soon as it was prepared … we will be coming back indeed.

The attendant was very kind and had a nice smile. She was very good at selling the food, but I will say I was disappointed in the cheese Rangoon’s, they were bland, and we’re not very fresh. They tasted like they had been made hours before and then reheated maybe in an air fryer ??and then the spicy dumpling soup was molten lava hot. First thing I did was blow on the soup, I still ended up with a burnt tongue. Restaurants should never have soup that hot, specially because I took it in my car. If it would’ve spelt it could’ve burned me.

We had a great meal with Chang Mai! They catered a dinner for our group of 50 people and the food and service was incredible. Would definitely recommend. Great variety of options and lovely staff.

I have to stop and take time to review this delicious Thai trailer. Besides the absolutely incredible customer service, it’s some of the best Thai food in Austin. I can’t even recommend one dish l, because I’m still making my way through the whole menu and every dish so far has been fantastic. I asked them to make the food Thai spicy! So if you like hot stuff, try that too! This is a Thai trailer with trying.

We will come back soon. With the bar next door it’s the best atmosphere you’ll ever have. Lot’s of fun and live music.

Food was actually really bad. I’ve made far better curry in my pressure cooker. We got the green and red curry, as well as the tom kha and nobody even ate a full bowl of food. Cheap low quality ingredients, mushy lazily cut veggies, bad flavor. No fresh herbs or lemongrass, well maybe a little bit of old unwashed herbs. I’m extremely surprised by the good reviews. I threw away 40 bucks worth of food because it was gross and nobody would eat any. Some of the worst Thai food I’ve had in 10 years. Extremely not good. Still irritated about it, food like this would be beyond shameful and unnecptable in Thailand. What a joke.

Please fix your guys schedule. I come here multiple times cause my work schedule and every time I come in when I looked and see that your guys are supposed to be open every time you guys are closed and then today I came finally came up here not even 6:30 yet. You guys told me that you’re closing early. Your food is great, but your service is very liking and guess you guys don’t care for your customers. And I’m very disappointed so I’m done not gonna take a chance again because every time I come you guys want to close when it says you guys are open you need to fix your time or commit to it no more really nearly when you want to close because we can’t work our schedule to come eat there so bad service overall and the worst experience I ever seen

Best Thai food I’ve ever had. There was only one man working the whole truck at 7:30pm on a Sunday, when I arrived to order he was upfront with me that he was busy with a big order, and it would be a bit of a wait. I appreciated him letting me know ahead of time, and I didn’t have anywhere to be so I didn’t mind waiting. While I waited I walked around the venue Chiang Mai is located at, it’s pretty cool! There’s a playground, corn hole, and a ping pong table set up near the picnic tables. I took my food to go to share with my husband at home, we shared the Tom Yum chicken soup and Basil chicken fried rice, with a side of crispy spring rolls.
It was incredible. The sweet and sour sauce that comes with the spring rolls is one of a kind, everything was so fresh. I’m willing to believe everything is made to order. I work at the heb across the street, and have a 30 minute drive home. Everything was still steaming hot and CRISPY after a 30 minute drive home!! I am extremely impressed with this food truck and I can’t wait to try their other menu options!! We love you Chiang Mai!
