Tasty Pot is one of my all time favorite hot pot places, I prefer how the pots and soups are already made. This location used to be Davis Sushi buffet way back in the day. Some people prefer their own hot pot because they don’t like all of the meats and veggies in their soup that long and cooked but I personally like how tasty pot tastes. This location doesn’t have small containers like other ones to make your sauces. We came here on Friday night flying back from the Sac airport upon closing. There are parking spots right up front but they also were turning people away right at closing and take out only. These bowls are shareable, I like to go for #1 Beef Hot Soup Medium with rice. I like to dip my meats and veggies in a combination of the hoisin and hot sauce. It was my parents first time so I got them healthy veggie hot soup, no spice. I wish I got them vermicelli as opposed to rice to give them more noodles. They were impressed with how they add more broth into the soup. My parents enjoyed it. My dad also got a flavored iced tea and my mom got a hot ginger lemon tea. We also ordered a side of sesame balls. The servers were pretty busy and it is a pretty tiny spot.

I tried this hot pot spot recently and it was honestly fire. The food was super fresh, the broth had great flavor, and everything tasted high-quality. All the ingredients came out looking clean and well-prepped — nothing old or sketchy like some places.
Service was smooth, the vibe was good, and it ended up being a really enjoyable meal overall. If you’re craving hot pot that’s fresh, flavorful, and worth the money, this place delivers. Highly recommend checking it out.

This is the best Tasty Pot in the region. Customer service is great! Friendly, college town. Parking is a bit difficult, but for those that live in the area or near, you know how Davis parking is downtown. The best thing to order in my family’s option, though.. the “sizzling pepper beef platter”. You can get a variety of toppings on it as well. You can only get it at this Tasty Pot. No other place within 40 miles.

The service and food were outstanding! The hotpot we ordered was both delicious and generous, perfect for sharing between two people. Our server, with the pretty blue nails, was fantastic, super friendly and engaging. She made the experience even more enjoyable by sharing fun stories and walking us through the menu with great explanations. We truly appreciated the effort she put into making our visit to Tasty Pot memorable, and we’ll definitely be back!

Over priced. Over hyped. Waste of time, food, money. This is a definition of college town restaurant.
Waiter walked out on us before our table was finished. Asked for multiple things and outright did not serve us.
Asked for the lobster dish to be spicy but got profiled and served something completely different. Barely any meat or seafood in the lobster dish.
2/4 dishes had a burner under them to keep hot while eating and others did not. No flavor in the spice, and afterwards it did not sit right with everyone at the table.
Our appetizers came 30 mins after our food came out.
Do not waste your money here. Not even a great place to grab drinks. Soju selection is poor. Table is cramped and too small. Terrible design and overall lack of professionalism. Food is terrible, servers are terrible, drinks selections terrible.
If I could give this less than a 1 star I would. This place deserves a 0 star.
This place just opened however, whomever loaned this owner with the start up fund should get their money back. Close this shop asap.

Foods are very good!! Very tasty, very yummy. I love the freshness of the food. Very busy on the weekend, but I got sit after 30 mins waiting for table. Food came very quickly too, servers are super helpful for first time customer like us. They also have Happy Hour during the weekdays as well.

Unfortunately I have given this place multiple chances but it’s just not as good as the other locations. I get saving food cost but the seafood hotpot was almost empty the last time I got it and I’ve never had this problem at the other 2 locations in sac. I was so appalled that it was even missing ingredient listed on the menu (mushrooms and a shrimp) and honestly that was my last straw. The only reason why I’m not giving this place a 1 star is because our server was nice
