An American Tavern at the Bedford Post Inn by Sunday Hospitality
We’re working to make the Bedford Post Inn even better.
The Bedford Post Inn will be open all day (re: the bar and kitchen won’t close between brunch and dinner!) serving food and drinks from 7:30am to 10pm every day of the year.
Until March 24th, breakfast, brunch and dinner will be in The Barn at the front of the property, serving the Tavern menu.
On March 25th, we expect all services will be served in The Tavern.
More exciting things are happening! Stay tuned.

My boyfriend and I went to this place for dinner. I have to say we had one of the most delicious meals ever. We started with the Tuna Carpaccio and a dozen Oysters on the half shell. The Tuna was beautifully presented and delicious as were the Oysters. We had huge hot popovers served with a honey butter which were mouthwatering. We also tried the Crab Cake which was one of the best I have ever had. The Crab was fresh, and the tarter sauce was very light and didn’t over power the Crab, For dinner we decided on the Roasted Chicken with watercress and the Butter Brown Spinach Ravioli. They were both amazing and the presentation was absolutely exquisite down to the garlic shaves on top of the watercress. For dessert my boyfriend had the Chocolate Sorbet and I enjoyed the Toasted Almond Ice cream as well as the fresh baked cookies with milk. I couldn’t have asked for a better ending to the meal. The Ice Cream and Sorbet were delicious and the freshly baked warm cookies with milk were scrumptious. Everything was homemade and you can tell how much love goes into the food here. The server we had Mae was friendly, smiling all the time, very attentive and made our time there so nice. A special thank you also to Kerri Casso who is the Service Manager there. I know her from her previous job and Kerri is the reason we tried this place. She checked on us several times and made sure we were happy. Thank you to Mae, Kerri, Sunny and everyone there who made our meal enjoyable. We can’t wait to come back!

Went to this restaurant for brunch with my husband and son on Memorial Day. We were seated outside and were told by the seating host that our waiter would be with us shortly, however shortly turned into 20 minutes. We had to grab the seating hosts attention to remind her we still hadn’t had our order taken. About 5-7 mins later we had a waitress take our order. I ordered the lobster roll, which is the priciest item on the menu ($40.00)and my husband ordered the burger. When our food arrived one half of my brioche bun was burnt to a crisp. About half the bun was actually charred and black and yet the chef or whoever platted it still thought it was appropriate to serve. At this point I was very hungry but did not want to eat the lobster roll and the waiter who dropped off our food at the table quickly placed the food and left the table without saying a word so I had to grab a staff members attention to regarding the brioche bun. When I finally was able to get a staff member’s attention, I pointed to the brioche bun and the female staff member looked stunned that it was served on my plate. She agreed that my lobster roll needed to be taken back to the kitchen. Her direct words were”that’s unacceptable.” When I was given a new brioche bun it was again a little burnt but this time minimally only on the edge, but the bun was somehow cold overall . It was as though the bun had been placed in the toaster for seconds. The bun tasted out of a refrigerator. I was upset as part of the description for the lobster roll states “toasted buttery brioche bun”. The bun was dry. It did not taste or look buttery at all but I chose not to continue to complain because by this point I was starving and have never had to send back food twice in a row in any restaurant I’ve ever been to. In terms of taste, the lobster roll was good, but nothing spectacular and frankly didn’t feel worth the price because It was unsatisfying. My husband also felt his burger left much to be desired. He stated his burger was “just okay.” The staff in this restaurant was friendly, and the ambiance is nice however the lack of attention to checking in to place our order within the first 30 minutes, and the food issue left us incredibly disappointed. I would recommend this place for a possible glass of wine if you are willing to wait and don’t have plans afterwards however I would not recommend this place for a meal unless you enjoy waiting long periods of time.

My wife and I recently celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary and we had a 10 out of 10 experience at Bedford Post Tavern.
The food, atmosphere and service were all spectacular. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great evening out.
Particularly, our waitress went above and beyond to make the night feel special and deserves a shout out. Thank you!

Visited for Christmas Eve dinner and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere and service were excellent. All of our dishes were delicious (the desserts were incredible!) and our lovely server Sarah took great care of us. This was the start of a new family tradition.

Went for my birthday dinner, everything was amazing, from the atmosphere, the dishes, our server – everything was perfect! My favorite dish was the branzino with crispy skin! Also loved the cosmopolitan & the pavlova, which was fruity & refreshing! Hands down one of the best dinners we’ve had in a while. Can’t wait to revisit in warmer weather!

Loved it! The food was fantastic, the environment is cozy, and the service is very good. I went there for their brunch buffet. Good quality selection of fresh seafood with oysters, lobster, crab, and shrimp… They also had stations for omelet/egg, waffle/pancake, warm meat, salads, fruits, bread, charcuterie, desserts, and more. The cherry on top for me was the fresh juices one! And yes, it’s all you can eat.

On our way to visit friends this weekend, we arrived later than anticipated due to traffic & have been trying to make it here for months. We were welcomed in & sat down immediately. Christian & staff made our experience 10/10. The ambiance, the drinks, the food, & the entire team at Bedford Post Tavern were top notch. Not wanting to overstay our welcome, they ensured we did not feel rushed & continued to provide excellent service. Christian & team – thank you for a wonderful Friday dinner service & we can’t wait for our next meal here! PS – the branzino was excellent! Thank you for a great start to our weekend!!

A truly exceptional experience at The Bedford Post Inn – from the food to the ambiance, everything is thoughtfully executed and deeply enjoyable. But what truly sets this place apart is the service.
Managers Nelson, Sunny, and Patty run a tight, welcoming ship. And when it comes to table service, Chrissy delivers in a way that elevates the entire dining experience – attentive, warm, and truly a pro.
The bar team is just as impressive. Whether it’s Ellie, Rogelio, Adam, Ethan, Nolan, Steven, or the outstanding support staff, they create an atmosphere that’s equal parts polished and homey. It really does feel like a second home.
Highly recommended – a gem in every sense.

This place is a gem nestled in Bedford NY. From the appetizers to the main course the food was great.
This place also set the bar for the best ice cream sandwich/cookie I ever had. It wasn’t on the menu but Cookies with Ice Cream came out fantastic.
I will be back!
