Burger and fries were delicious – fries were nicely seasoned! The dessert is simple but super tasty too! I like the crab ragoons but they’re different than other spots – I don’t think there’s any cream cheese in them. Rib was good

First time here on a busy Tuesday probably because it was half off sushi night. We tried the specials the chef recommended. It was a pad see ew thai inspired dish and their flounder special. Flounder was skinned and fried where we can eat the shell and the filets were cooked perfectly on top. Would come back to try the other specials.

I Went back and tried their sushi on 3/8 for a small catering event. In speaking to the chef he was the original chef and original sushi staff that opened up oku south end. All I can say that it was phenomenal. Will be back again.

Food here was amazing, I got the 8oz filet and the taste was out of this world. The steak was well seasoned and cooked perfectly to my liking. The sushi here was great too with wonderful combinations of flavors. All the fish tasted very fresh.

Highly recommend! Finally a sushi restaurant that truly tantalized my taste buds with every bite. I tried an array of selections from the menu. You can’t go wrong!

The sashimi was a sublime experience. Each piece was a delicate marvel, melting effortlessly in my mouth, indicating the high quality and freshness of the fish. The texture was smooth, and the natural flavors were vividly present, a testament to the culinary skill in its preparation.

The AC/DC roll was a delightful surprise. The combination of light, citrus tones intermingling with the fresh ingredients created a harmonious blend that was both refreshing and satisfying. The roll’s construction was impeccable, showcasing the chef’s attention to detail and commitment to quality.

The Unagi red snapper was equally impressive, tender and plated with a delicious complimentary sauce. So good!

The sushi chefs were gracious enough to prepare two off-menu items: the Double Spice and Naked roll. Both rolls were a testament to the restaurant’s creativity and willingness to explore bold flavors. The Double Spice roll was a fiery delight, offering a spicy kick that was exhilarating but not overpowering. The Naked roll was a masterful display of simplicity and flavor, allowing the quality of the ingredients to shine through without any distractions. Even the sliders surprised me with a citrus kick that really showed the attention to detail. All I can say is Yum!!!

Food was really great, definitely what we need in the Marvin area. Fresh sushi, great steaks & seafood (try the scallops), really good cocktails.

PS: my daughter (8) wanted everyone to know the bathrooms were very clean (another 5 star)

I recently visited this fantastic restaurant, and I was blown away! Not only do they serve delicious Japanese food, but their hamburgers are also incredible. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The variety on the menu is impressive, making it a perfect spot for everyone. The staff was amazing—so friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Highly recommend this place for a unique and delicious dining experience!

We visited twice for the soft opening of the restaurant and were impressed with the extensive menu and charming atmosphere. We tried the crab rangoons, salmon, chicken thighs, white rice and french fries, 4 different sushi rolls, and a brownie with salted caramel icecream for dessert. All delicious and served warm. Service was great too

Sushi is incredible! The Def Leopard and the Hall & Oats rolls are the epitome of how fun the menu and atmosphere is! The pickled vegetables are off the charts great that are part of the sushi-cuterie board.

We stopped in for a weekend lunch with our young daughter and were very happy with our experience.

The restaurant is bright and inviting with the staff mirroring this feeling. We were made to feel comfortable.

We shared snow crab rangoon, a bento box, and our daughter had the kids sliders and fries. We also tried their cocktails, having a C’est la Vie and a Blank Space.

The rangoon were a somewhat elevated version of a takeaway favorite, emphasizing the crab over a cream cheese. Very crispy and thinner wrappers made this a great and lighter start to the meal.

Our bento box choices included nigiri, a California roll, Mandu dumplings, and edamame. The fish was fresh and the dumplings were very tasty.

Even the sliders and french fries were great quality and delicious.

The drinks rival some of our local craft cocktail bars with the C’est la Vie being a particularly well developed drink. The fact that we were able to get this quality of drink with their lunch staff is a fantastic sign.

Overall, I definitely recommend visiting Kin as soon as you are able.

Overall we were a little disappointed. We had high hopes for the new spot, but it fell short.

Has potential, but needs to improve. We were excited to try a new sushi spot or any good new restaurant in this area. Went for early dinner (5ish). Started great. Edamame with peppers and chili sauce was great. Drinks were solid. My wife really enjoyed her “Maria Maria” (hibiscus margarita).

Unfortunately it went downhill a bit after appetizer and drinks. They have four items listed under entree. My wife was excited to try the braised short ribs. They were out. They apparently had run out of short ribs for the weekend on Friday, so that was disappointing. She ended up going with filet & salmon. She described the salmon as fishy and overcooked. She enjoyed the filet. I tried the Nigiri Chef’s Selection. I also wanted to pair it with sake, so I looked at options from the menu and google’d sake reviews. I’m not a sake expert. Ordered sake. They didn’t have the sake. Strike 2 on ordering stuff of the menu to try. Took it as a sign I didn’t need another drink and just went with water the rest of the way. The Nigiri selection was OK. Lacking presentation, explanation or description of the chef’s selection. Just 8 pieces on a plate and here you go. It wasn’t bad. The tuna didn’t seem fresh, but it was OK. I wouldn’t go with that option again. I would probably try a roll that highlights other flavors than just the fish.

Not sure if we’ll be back.
