Great experience! My wife and I came here for a date night. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. I had a New York Strip Steak with sauted mushrooms and onions. I will definitely be going here again!

Terrible terrible terrible! Don’t waste your money! My husband and I went here for a date night. As we arrived I asked the host if we could sit in the balcony which was empty and she rudely replied the it’s only for larger parties. Which I don’t understand how that could be because the tables up there only seat 4. My husband ordered a burger and when he got the burger he cut into it and it was completely raw inside! The waitress was very unapologetic about it and took it back and I finished my meal and his food still wasn’t out. So we just told her to forget about it. Terrible

So disappointed! We had really been enjoying eating at Joe’s, but what has happened!! This is one of only a few restaurants in Woodstock where you could get a good steak. But yesterday’s experience, has changed our opinion. Not only was the service terrible, but I ordered my steak medium and it was RARE! They gave me another and it was RARE! Finally I told them to forget it, since the rest of my party was almost finished with their meal. Ironically, the other steaks were cooked perfectly medium. And why did we have to go hunting for a pepper shaker? We had only salt and the other table had only pepper. I spoke to others who were there last night and they said the service was terrible also. Get it together!!

The restaurant was very accommodating to my vegetarian needs! The black bean burger was amazing! The veggies were coated in a delicious sauce that made them all the better. Our server was Brandon and his service was exceptional for everyone at my table. I highly recommend for a special night out!

Best restaurant in Woodstock. We went on a Monday night, and were one of 3 patrons/groups. We were seated promptly, and our waitress was gracious and attentive.
The food was phenomenal. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, and the chef hand cut and seasoned our French fries. As far as desserts, both the Brownie sundae and the creme brulee were not only delicious, but arranged beautifully!
I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough! We will be visiting again!

Went to Joe’s for the first time my dads father day lunch. We got in around 1335hr but as we were seated and were about to order we were told that the only thing we could have was the buffet at $15 a person with less then 15 mins till 1400 when the buffet was over. This is reason for the 3 stars was the principle of the matter of having no choice to but to have the buffet or leave and time did was not was not something to be had as the option to leave. The food was okay but the egg Benedict was old. I usually rate my places good or bad on the coffee. My coffee was spot on to my liking. The atmosphere of the establishment was weird. The darkness with red walls felt to be a more quite steakhouse setting but the radio playing on the speaker of rock and hair metal music seem to add to the confusion of the setting.
I don’t see myself back returning to this establishment but to each their own and everyone must try something at least once to see if it’s your liking. 3 stars for the half decent food and okay service. But lack of principle and the inability of the manager to call me after I leave a comment card I generously give the 3 stars.

The service was terrible. Daughter sent her plate back, it tasted funny. Our server, talked to us approximately 4 times. Waited for water/drinks for 15 minutes. I literally gave up and went to the bar and ordered a Stella, I didn’t know if the server was ever coming back… The manager gave me my Stella, I asked her to add it to my table and she looked at me like …why are you getting this. After the evening and my kid’s meal being replaced with something different, the manager offered to comp the dinner. I said absolutely not necessary. I would have felt bad about the review I planned to leave.

Great food, superior service and comfortable atmosphere! We raise our own beef so we know what good steak tastes like. Joe’s Special was so tender and the most flavorful steak I have ever had. The waitress was excellent as well.

Dear Joe, I’ll get right to the point. The only reason your restaurant in Woodstock is still in business is the lack of other dinning establishments but I think you know this. I say that because we have lived in Woodstock for just over a year now and have been to your steakhouse 4 times but not because it’s that good but because we keep thinking it will be better next time (cause it can’t get any worse) and there is just no other place to go. The service we received the last time we went there was just absolutely horrible my wife had to go to the bar and get a second round of drinks for her mother and herself because our order was taking so long. We had to ask for bread and they were out of desert. It is now 9pm we are just getting home from our 4th and final visit to Joe’s steak house. We got there @630 and walked out at 745 and went elsewhere and 2 other party’s that we know of followed us out. Joe do yourself and the people that work for you a favor, hire a good manager and treat your employees better. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TRAIN YOUR PEOPLE!!

Prime rib, too! My wife got her caramelized end cut that she so dearly loves. I had a cheese burger. Our friend enjoyed his steak and Joe even had fish for our friend’s wife.
The Chardonnay was the most enjoyable that I’ve had.
