Part of me wants to award 5 stars and part of me one. This is a very difficult choice as I love to rate local restaurants 5 stars. This place is an anomoly. The left side sandwich shop delivers an over-the-top experince for service, quality and price. The right side I avoid. Let’s begin with the vegan juice bar on the right so we end with the good news on the left. The vegan shop on the right shows no prices. The fridge is empty, spotty, and if you take something out to the cash register, you’re likely to return it to the cooler. It’s no wonder the refrigerated items bear no prices. (I believe this violates the law.) The right side closes when it wants, is rigid, doesn’t please customers, is arrogant thinking it’s the lord’s gift. The people on the left make every effort to smile, do as you ask, and deliver an over-the-top experience. I like my bread crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. I do not accept soft pappy bread. The sandwich shop on the left offers a phenomenal sub roll you might have to go to New York to find. They make the sandwich as you ask with a smile and appreciation for your business. This is the best sandwich place in town and perhaps for miles around. Since the closing of Libby Beans Chocolate Shop, we’re missing a place where you can get either a dark thick, bittersweet hot or cold chocolate drink. No one seems to understand anything beyond Hershey’s or Swiss Miss overloaded with sugar and lacking a thick, dark, bittersweet chocolate fix. If you’re like me and crave either an iced or hot dense chocolate fix, drive to Chocoluxe, in Peapack. Those people know chocolate, and the lines prove it. You’d think the average merchant looking to run a successful business would visit and study places where the lines go out the door to learn what people want and are willing to stand in line and pay for. I’d love to be a hometown hero and rate Frenchtown Fresh a 5-star visit. It kills me to write this poor review of my neighbor. Perhaps she’ll read this and understand I write this hoping she copies some of the things that make other shops successful. Don’t allow this review to discourage you from ordering a sandwich from the left side of the store. Avoid the right.

Frenchtown Fresh is one of my regular spots to get a yummy vegan meal for dinner. I usually get the reuben and it is the best one I have ever had. Sometimes I top it off with a fresh pressed juice. I always check the cooler for some fresh and healthy vegan grocery items. The food is amazing and the people are even better!

Just stopped in and tried the roast beef sloppy Joe – we were floored! The sandwich made our day we couldn’t stop talking about it! Made so fresh and only of premium ingredients! Coleslaw with Russian dressing roast beef and cheese fancy rye bread so soft. I can order 18 of those and never get tired! We will be repeat customers for sure!!!

Today I visited this sweet restaurant operated by a lovely and super friendly family! They do what I like: offer real whole food and put a smile on your face when you leave .They have a community table, so folks can fulfill their social vitamins while enjoying a great food. They support the local farmers and artists. It’s a hidden gem and it’s a great experience to try this place. So I highly recommend.

Came to town for a job. On the way out we spotted this little, almost hidden sub shop. Thank God we stopped. The food was amazing. Literally every pannini sandwich was on point. Full of flavor!!!
***Bonus, was the Pears they grow on their farm.

Here’s my first time here in frenchtown and my friend and I wanted to stop by somewhere with vegan options. We were both pleasantly surprised to see this big vegan sign in the middle of town. Obviously we went in and ate lunch there. We were not disappointed. Everything is made in house and was absolutely delicious. I recommend the sausage sandwich. It literally tasted like a real sausage sandwich. The smoothies weren’t as sweet as normal soon as you get elsewhere but that could be a good thing meaning there is not as much sugar in them compared to normal smoothies.

Very small and friendly. Offers regular
and vegan menu. Our party ordered from both and all meals were delicious. Very casual, low key, comfy atmosphere. Pricing moderate, do try their homemade lemonade.

Incredible flavors! Didn’t think I could get a legit vegan ramen bowl around here, I was so wrong. Friendly atmosphere, good food, and quality ingredients that shine through. Will definitely be back!

All the food has been amazing! Sweetest employees too. The ensalada rusa is so delicious and I was shocked to find it. I have never seen it offered anywhere outside of Spain. If I have a craving for it I have to make my own. Now I have a go to source! The Jewish apple cake is also delicious and addictive. Our son, Malcolm, also loves to visit and I feel confident that he is getting healthy food made with love when he is there. I feel so lucky that we have a shop like this in town. ❤️

From out of town and stopped in for a quick sandwich, it was delicious! I’m always on the hunt for good gluten free options, and this is place had plenty! The chicken pesto sandwich is honestly to die for and they have a ton of homemade pastries as well. All of the workers were very nice, overall wonderful experience highly recommend
