UPDATE:
I came back alone on a Tuesday; and it was so calm. People were quietly working on laptops, French music played, and every staff member was super friendly. I had the strawberry-matcha latte, and the strawberry-matcha croffle. I enjoyed both highly.
Phinesso is a true gem in the city, offering something genuinely hard to find: authentic Vietnamese coffee. For anyone tired of the standard coffee shop fare, this spot is highly recommended and an absolute must-try.
The coffee itself is excellent. It’s rich, flavorful, and, crucially, customizable to your preference. Whether you desire a deep, bitter kick, a delightfully salty finish, or something traditionally sweet, they can tailor it perfectly. Given the high quality and the rarity of the product, the pricing is remarkably reasonable, making it an affordable treat.
While the coffee experience is top-notch, potential visitors should note that the physical space is quite small. It often doesn’t have enough seating to accommodate all guests, so be prepared to grab your drink to go, especially during peak hours. However, the quality of the drink more than makes up for the tight seating.
In summary, if you are seeking genuine, delicious Vietnamese coffee that is worth going out of your way for, look no further than Phinesso. It’s a highly recommended experience.
My husband had a caramel macchiato
And I had a cappuccino they were both amazing truly the best ❤️
The matcha latte was fantastic! Every sip was delightful! My friend mentioned that their drink could use a bit more condensed milk, but they thoroughly enjoyed their drink and the waffle.
The overall atmosphere was clean and inviting. I was especially pleased to see one of the team members diligently cleaning and disinfecting the tables after each use, ensuring a safe environment. Just a heads up: the plants are real, and I did notice a few gnats flying around. It didn’t bother me much, but I can see how it might concern some guests.
Having read some negative reviews, I encourage others to consider visiting during off-peak hours and to be patient with this new establishment as they work to establish their routine. They’re still finding their groove, and a little grace goes a long way!
I ordered the egg coffee and it was heavenly. The egg cream was silky and rich, and the coffee underneath was strong and incredibly flavorful.
I also tried the strawberry cheesecake croffle. It was amazing. The croffle was fluffy yet perfectly crispy, the cheesecake cream wasn’t overly sweet, and the fresh strawberries balanced the richness beautifully.
My sister got the Sugarcane drink, and you can immediately taste how fresh it is.
Their peach fruit tea completely surprised me! Very peachy!! And the strong black tea kept it from being too sweet. I was blown away by how good it was!!
And of course we had to get the classic Viet Milk Phin Coffee. Very strong, very bold, and the condensed milk ties it all together perfectly.
The vibe is great too. Modern, clean, lots of space, plenty of seating. Staff was really friendly.
Overall, I’m excited about this place and really hope they do well. I want to try everything on the menu!! I’ll definitely be back!
