I hate to be the one who complains unless it’s important or necessary, but this subway was one of the best in Ankeny, I would even say better than the rest of any state I’ve ever had subway in. Rates them 5 star reviews every time, had nothing but the best to say to them. Loved them. Employees were great, especially the guy with the brownish/reddish hair, amazing guy, friendly, interactive; all around great guy.
However, the last 6+ months have been pretty bad and I have no idea why.. it’s only the sandwiches and what they’re forcing their employees to make their customers, I can assume.
The sandwiches have little to no protein, on now a burnt, dried out bun, with SO many veggies, but they’re forced to hide the “protein” with the veggies.
They used to have the BEST, and softest sandwiches, no flakes fell out whatsoever. Now? I take a small bite and I have splintery wood chips down my whole shirt.
But the lack of any protein is what’s upsetting. $6-$12 for a veggie sandwich I didn’t order?
I know as a whole Subway is going down slowly, and this is why, unfortunately.
If they have their employees give more for ALL products they use, THEN you guys WILL stay in business and people would NOT mind for paying what “you serve” on those misleading pictures on your signs inside yours stores.
Please, do better, and make the customer a priority, not just a dollar signs.

First of all. Person with colored hair working this afternoon was semi rude. Secondly as a Dasher we don’t ever want to look into a person bag, so the expectation is that everything the customer orders is in there. Not sure what happened this afternoon but they did not add my customers desserts into the bag and Subway staff never said anything about missing items. Unfortunately I could not go back to this customer due to another order I already had in my car.

Employees tonight were friendly and polite. Veggie sandwich with fresh, crisp veggies and bread soft and flavorful. Usually will go during the day, and have always had fabulous service. It is always clean. I like having Subway so close:)

They stop selling iced tea because it’s winter??? That’s the only drink i use so I’ll take all my business elsewhere until summer i guess. If i can’t get a meal then I’ll go other places.
Update: tried again. It’s August and no iced tea. Server failed to do anything we asked.

Newer, nice and clean store across from Ankeny Centennial high school. Stopped in to feed everyone after a choir concert. No problems along with good sandwiches makes for a pleasant experience. Would say it’s worth a shot for a quick and good meal .

I wanted to give you 5 stars for that, but your association with Doordash delivery drivers ALWAYS gets my address wrong. They’re terrible, and I even give them a $2 tip just to bring my sandwiches down the same street and they always get my address wrong. So many times do I update it and say THIS is my address, please hand me my food if it isn’t, on a brown Welcome Mat to NORTHWOOD, NOT Cedarwood, and they don’t deliver, literally.
I hope you get better drivers because your sandwiches and the people that make them, are really good
