We’ve been eating here for decades. Even when it was Uncle Kwok’s. It’s decent enough Chinese food. Not up to SF standards, but good enough. Their Won ton soup is good. The egg rolls are tasty, but sometimes the veggie filling is very fibrous and difficult to chew. It’s almost like they used the butt end (base) of the cabbage or veggie. We always like their broccoli dishes.
Note— The head maître d’ is a wonderful man with a nice sense of humor.

Great food at a very reasonable price.
The decor is decent, not too upscale but don’t let that fool you! I have tried several dishes and they are putting decent amount of Sczheuan pepper.
The service is good and the food is prepped fairly quickly (it is not a fast food).

Just a suggestion: around now (mid 2025), Google map asks you to go forward and turn right –at the last stage of arrival and park. That is a very uphill and does not have a good walking path to restaurant.bInstead, take the right a bit early, enter the shopping complex and park just in front of the restaurant.
(If you are needing a left turn, then you are coming from the other side. Do the opposite: pull a bit forward to enter the shopping complex comfortably)

A couple of friends and I were out and about near the coast and wanted to find something on the way home to eat for dinner. I am a huge fan of any type of asian food and since Joe’s Bao was closed that day I pitched this place to the group in hope of a hidden gem. and boy was I right on. This places food was amazing as usual of any asian restaurant I frequent. Our group ordered a lot of food since we just got done hiking and the highlight of it all was probably the honey walnut shrimp. Sweet and delicious. All the food was really good. Fresh, tasty and not to oily or anything. The only tiny thing I noticed was the server who took our order and greeted us. We had two kids with us at the table both under 3 and he seemed quite strict on this “no crying babies” rule. We didnt know if he was serious or not so we kinda just laughed it off as a joke but other than that, great food would definitely come back if i lived around here.

Mixed reviews as far as our family goes. I really enjoyed my fried rice. The prawns not as much. I thought it was tempura but it wasn’t. The beef and broccoli is ok but my husband said the flavor was lacking. Still good though.

Highly recommend in spite of the following…
1. Parking is dark, dangerous and super congested between 5-6:30 when the dance school let’s out and it’s moms, little girls and monster trucks and huge SUVs going every which-a-way.
2. Vagrants arguing and pushing eachother right at the front door on our visit.
3. The institutional sickly green interior color. Wear sunglasses?
4. They charge $2 for a tiny bowl of white rice . It does not come with your meal, never saw that before.

So why 5 stars and the recommendation? 3 words, Szechuan boiled fish! Wow. . I think they use tilapia, I don’t like tilapia and yet this soup is awesome! Huge portion, lots of fish and veggies and spicy. They must use Szechuan peppercorns, it’s the kind of spice that hits the back of your pallet and jaw. You may need to go blow your nose. We had to ask for bowls to go with it, I guess they thought we were going to eat out of the hugh trough/bowl?
Also ordered the Spicy Eggplant, one of our favorites. This was good but a little too oily. I overheard a lady asking for less oil to be used on her order, smart.
As I sat in amazement of my soup I could hear and smell takeout dishes being prepared in the kitchen, the spices, sauces and most importantly wok hei were intoxicating. We will be back for sure.
The owners are super kind and energetic.
In spite of the rediculous $2 charge for rice, their prices seem very reasonable.
Looks like they have a good lunch deal too.

The food was good. We ordered quite a bit to get the full effect. Tip dishes were the fried rice, veggie sizzling rice, and the sweet and sour pork. Meh dishes were the pot stickers and chow mein. We are not fans of fatter noodles chow mein, so if you like larger noodles, you will definitely like this dish. Overall, the food was good.

We just love Four Streams Kitchen, so much so that we pre-ordered take-out for 16 people for a birthday party in our home. The food arrived hot, on time and delicious. It was a major hit. In the restaurant, the staff is friendly and funny (Paul); the ambiance is fine, and the food is very good. Go there!

This place is pretty good, it’s a local restaurant in the Aptos region. This is my second time here I came here after going to Land of Medicine Buddha.

The food here is genuinely quite good. It’s a homey space, with a giant wall painted mural. Feels like being invited to someone’s house to eat. Small details like fresh flowers on every table really make a difference.

If you’re looking for a cost effective, homey place for Chinese food with a great interior you won’t be disappointed in choosing this restaurant.
