Sweet and small little space with great sandwiches and hot dogs. I’ll be honest I was really impressed. Alcoholic beverages are available as well glass bottle sodas and chips for a side item. We stopped in after a long day of traveling and hiking the Grayson Highlands. They had live music that afternoon, and it started to fill in pretty fast. You could tell this was a popular spot the regulars like to get together. Really enjoyed our time here as well as the food!

This was our third trip here and we consistently have an awesome experience. Incredible food. The sandwiches are next level. Nothing crazy, gimmicky or over the top. Just amazing flavors in satisfying portions. Service is on point and they have the genuinely friendliest staff I’ve encountered in quite some time.
Indoor and outdoor seating is available. The patio, though small, has beautiful views of the mountains and river. My husband and I enjoy people watching folks in the park across the street, while the kids are entertained by their impressive selection of games you can bring to your table. We will be back again and again! Have to try the whole menu!!! This is a must try if you are anywhere near Lansing. You will NOT be disappointed!!!

Absolutely wonderful sandwiches. The presentation was perfect! And we truly appreciated the good quality selection of wine and beer! We were there as they opened on a weekday. Would love to return on a weekend night for the entertainment!

We had such a lovely visit. We went on a Friday afternoon and it was not busy. The staff so, so friendly and helpful.
The food was FANTASTIC. I absolutely loved the Scaped Goat Sandwich! I will definitely be back for that again as well to try others. The restroom was clean.

I enjoyed having lunch with friends at The Liar’s Bench. I ordered the Roast Beef sandwich and it was loaded and tasty. I tried the local beer, Jooce. It was a nice day so we sat outside overlooking the river park and view of the beautiful fall trees. I will be back to visit the bar and hear local music at night.

We found this gem over the July 4th holiday and fell in love. The food was fantastic! Try the Deviled Stairs Eggs, The Maverick sandwich and the Gobbling Gouda sandwich. They were perfect, as was the service. The whole place was full of local hospitality and charm. We’ll be back soon!

Liar’s Bench has great food, the employees are very inviting and fun! The entertainment they have added is out of this world! Service with a smile, joke or story always a great times! Family oriented and friendly! Must stop and check them out!

What a cool sandwich shop/pub. I decided to try something I would not normally try. I tried the Hot Mess sandwich. Yummy . Turkey, pickled onions, jalapeños, avocados, potato chips, and a sliver of mayo with pepper. It was served with a hot chili to dip in or put on top. Crazy, but delicious!!!! My husband and son both had the Maverick; one on gluten-free bread. They both loved them. The Liar’s Bench really knows how to serve up great sandwiches alongside their great service!!!

Great spot for a sandwich and adult beverage and watching the cars go by, while catching the afternoon sun. They have a nice selection of craft brews on tap plus more in cans. I recommend the deviled stairs (deviled) eggs and Carolina hot dogs but I suspect everything else is good too! August 2024 update: great live music on Friday nights.
