I’ve ate at their restaurant in American canyon, this was my first time at their taco truck in Benicia.
Let me tell you… LOVE TACO TUESDAY!!
I got 8 tacos and they were DELICIOUS!! And the salsa the red one was Soo spicy and good! The team that was there today were also great! Too bad they didn’t have my tequila when they read this I hope they remember who I am.. had the other two guys waiting for their food also talking about tequila! lol

Food is great when they get your order correct, unfortunately half the time I go here which is fairly frequent the order is wrong or incomplete. I looked past it for some time but now they’re trying to charge 2$ per taco to add cheese and 2$ and some change for a small cup of crema. The prices are getting ridiculous and out of hand just for your order to be wrong…

Taco Tuesdays are great to eat terrific tacos on a budget! Wednesday quesavirrias are so scrumptious, I eat all three with no shame LOL
Fridays special is the Torta Loca and it is rightfully named. It’s crazy good and fully loaded!
I do also enjoy their fish tacos and burritos, but they prepare their specials so well I don’t enjoy them enough!

I’ve been coming to the Jalapeño Taco Truck here in Benicia for about four and a half years now, and honestly, I can say I’ve never once been disappointed. From day one, their food has been consistently fresh, flavorful, and packed with generous portions that go well beyond what you’d expect for the price. The breakfast burritos are absolutely on point perfectly balanced with eggs, cheese, refried beans and potatoes, and your choice of meat if thats your thing, all wrapped in a lovely tortilla. The tacos are just as amazing, with authentic flavor and seasoned perfectly, every single time. Oh and the spicy salsa! Chefs kiss! So so good.
What I really appreciate is that the staff here are always friendly and welcoming. Even when they’re busy, they still take the time to greet customers and make sure everything is right with your order. You can tell they care about their food and their community, and that makes a big difference.
After almost 5 years of stopping by, I still get excited every time I see that truck parked and ready to serve. Great food, great people, great prices you honestly can’t go wrong. Jalapeño Taco Truck has definitely earned my loyalty, and I plan to keep coming back for many years to come!

The food here used to be decent, but it has gone significantly downhill. On top of that, they hiked prices by around 50% overnight at one point—it’s no surprise the place is often empty now.
Edit (one year later): I came back to see if anything had improved, especially since there aren’t many dining options around Benicia. Unfortunately, the food is still disappointing—the chicken was dry and lacked seasoning. To make matters worse, the customer service has become abysmal. I was asked if I wanted hot or medium sauce, and when I politely requested both, I was told I could only choose one. Strangely, the four customers ahead of me were offered both without issue. They may have been regulars, but policies should be applied consistently. Never coming back again!
