Poki DC is a delightful spot for fresh and customizable poke bowls. The ingredients are always fresh, and the variety of toppings, sauces, and proteins allows you to build the perfect bowl to suit your taste. Their portions are generous, making it a great value for the price. The staff is friendly and efficient, ensuring quick service even during busy hours. The interior is modern and clean, creating a pleasant atmosphere for dining in. While parking can be a bit tricky in the area, the quality of food makes it worth the effort. Poki DC is an excellent choice for a healthy, flavorful meal, whether you’re grabbing lunch or looking for a quick dinner option.

I love this place.

I’ve eaten here twice while in Bethesda for my appointments with Johns Hopkins Orthopedics, and I find the food to be mediocre and a little bland. It’s probably the worst poke place I’ve been to thus far – this coming from someone from a small city that doesn’t have an exceptional selection of poke. My biggest complaint is the sriracha mayo. It looks the way it should but it tastes like someone waved a bottle of sriracha over a bowl of mayo. Like they thought about putting some sriracha in. Like they put half a squeeze in, got distracted, and forgot to add more. No kick to it at all. The teas/flavored drinks are pretty good but take a long time to be made and are overpriced. Also pretty telling – both times I’ve been here have been around what should have been the lunch rush but the place was deserted. I was the only one dining in. Maybe 2 people came by to pick up Uber Eats orders. That’s it.

Visited on my 30min lunch break from work, took awhile for the food 20min so I barely had time to eat. Also when the cashier was handing me my food, she got my attention by saying “hey your food is ready” and i immediately got up to grab it and as I was grabbing it she said “you’re a lazy one aren’t you?” Also online the chicken karrage comes w yum yum sauce and she gave my ponzu and argued about it when I asked for yum yum. Food okay, boba yummy, service weird

The food is fine, but don’t order extra for food that looks like that is about to go bad. I paid extra for avocado and my meal was 20.99 for this which is expensive and I’m fine with that but paying for something extra and you can’t even eat it because it looks like it’s about to be bad is not it for me.

Been awhile since I’ve gone for poke, so I stopped by Poki DC for carryout. Quick and easy to go through the line selecting your base (rice/lettuce) and proteins and then the toppings.

This location is bright and they’ve got plenty of seating. Staff is friendly and patient when you’re trying to make your selections from all the topping options.

I do like that this location has the Gong Cha inside too!

Love Poki DC! I’d never had poke until visiting a friend in Hawaii in 2021 and loved it. Was delighted to discover this place so close to home! Just $17 gets me a quick, healthy meal, and usually some leftover for the next day’s lunch. My go-to options are the sushi rice; marinated tuna and salmon for protein; radishes, pineapple, seaweed salad and carrots; and crunchy onion thingies with eel sauce on top. Occasionally I’ll splurge on a milk tea as well.

I love the Poki DC in downtown. I went to this location expecting the same quality. While the food was good, there were less ingredients available and the portions were less generous, way smaller. It was a huge letdown compared to the location in Downtown DC.

As a native who loves his fish… terrible, very amateur cuts. I paid 27.00 + tip for what? Stingy portions (their serving reminds me of boot camp servings), lackluster taste, and just overall atrocious mediocrity in every bite. I’ve been to HUNDREDS of Poke places but this has to be the worse of them all.

Atmosphere looks so depressing and outdated inside. Go to ANY Poke place but here.

Staff is okay but lacks liveliness.

You can easily pickup cheapskate vibes.

Just….. no.

The employee seemed to be on something… She was unable to retain information about my order, and needed each step repeated multiple times. No one else was in the store also my food had LONG BLACK HAIR in it (I have purple hair so not mine!). The store was also very dim despite being lunchtime. First visit the food was meh. Second visit HAIR?! Definitely will not be back. Food safety does not seem to be a concern here.
