Normally, we go to El Corral. But today, we decided to try a different place. It was mediocre food and service. I don’t know if I would go back. I would consider going back if I possibly had a coupon or something like that. Overall, I don’t think I would recommend this compared to other restaurants in Manhattan. I am hoping it was just a bad day. However, there’s other places I would rather go and try then going back to this one.

Love love love this place. Cute, quiet date night, quick bite for one, or the whole family. Authentic Mexican dishes cooked right. Lovely margaritas. Chocolate cake with flan and caramel sauce was divine. Churros were yummy. I’ll be back!

I came from Texas to drop my son for summer health camp at K-State. This place was next to the hotel I was staying and we tried for lunch and one of the best fresh and delicious fajitas I had eaten. Hands off better than any restaurants that I have eaten in Texas.

Chicken enchiladas were wonderful! Both rojo and Verde sauce were great, but the Verde sauce is definitely the best I’ve had in Manhattan. Spicy chili de arbol salsa has unique flavor and heat! The beans and rice were fresh and tasty! Oscar is a great server, very polite and fast. Very authentic Mexican restaurant, will definitely be back!

Cinco de Mayo is tucked away and not very easy to see. You should take the time to give it a try. This is the same crew as the Taco Loco food truck. My favorite tacos in town are here. The prices used to be reasonable as compared to others. Now get ready for the 14-15 dollar lunch. I like the food but at 11:30 for lunch the staff brought out only the dinner menu. We had to ask if there was a lunch menu. Typically an entree serves with rice and beans according to the menu a choice of ranch beans or refried. I ended up with just rice somehow. It wasn’t photogenic but the #6 Chille Relleno with red sauce was very tasty.

This place is great! The food was exceptional, the staff was friendly, and the environment was clean. They have a few vegetarian options, which is a huge plus. My picture is of the veggie burrito. Definitely give it a try!

This place is a total disaster. Waited 20 minutes just for drinks. Had to flag down the waiter constantly for every little thing—refills, napkins, whatever—because they couldn’t be bothered to check on us. The chips and salsa? A pathetic joke: 10 measly chips and a tiny dab of salsa per basket. We had to beg for four baskets just to feed the table. Then, the silverware—our food sat there getting cold for 15 minutes before we got forks. By the time we could eat, it was ruined. The staff didn’t care, the food was subpar, and the whole thing was a frustrating waste of time and money. Don’t eat here—save yourself the hassle.
