2.5 really. This is a walk-up food truck type place. The guy inside was friendly enough. Service was fairly quick with about a 10 minute wait for our food after we ordered. We have been here several times and the results are always the same. The flavors are good and the vegetables and rice are cooked well. The issue is that every protein we order is always very overcooked. The steak is always well done no matter how you order it making it very dry and chewy. The chicken is cooked the same with the same results. The shrimp and scallops have always ended up on the rubbery side. The salmon ends up very dry. We usually also order the crab Rangoon and sometimes the fried calamari, and those are always really good. If this place could prepare the proteins better it would be a solid spot. Please give them a try and decide for yourself.

Wow wow some of the best hibachi I’ve ever had and in the parking lot of a walmart!!!! If you are traveling and want some good fast food try this place price was reasonable with the amount of food you get as well.

2021: I have been a fan since I tried them in Fayette. The hibachi is incredible, at an incredible price! It’s nice to have a little variety in this small town.
6/2023: edited to add a picture of their yummy dynamite roll! I never would’ve imagined ordering something this well-presented in Winfield, AL! There’s no raw meat, so don’t be shy!

We placed an order just a moment ago. We ordered chicken NOODLES, they gave us chicken rice instead. My husband came home with it and we opened it, rice. Not the noodles we had ordered. He called and told them they gave us the wrong thing and they asked us if we wanted to place ANOTHER order! No, we don’t want to place another order, we want you to fix the order you messed up!

I picked up a steak and shrimp, double rice, no veggies today, and it was TERRIBLE! Asked for my steak to be medium rare but when I received it, it was very well done. So done, that I might as well have taken a bite out of some boot leather and chewed on that. My shrimp was also very overcooked yet my rice was UNDERCOOKED. Took maybe 4-5 bites before i decided it was down right inedible. Should’ve went back and asked for a refund considering the food was over $30!!!!

Ordered 2 Hiro specials. That’s shrimp, steak, chicken, vegetables, and rice.
We asked for one special without rice, but what we received was extra rice on both plates, no vegetables, and the yum yum sauce didn’t taste right. We eat there almost every weekend during the summer when we go to the drive-in movies. Last summer was awesome, everything was great. But this time, when I ordered, the call was answered by one of those foreigners we can’t understand, which was weird because it’s always a teenage girl or boy that answers, and never an issue before. It appears that the “ restaurant “ has changed management, and the orders are not as good as before. Normally, $52 is not a bad price for what you get on your plate, it’s more than I can eat. This time , there was a lot rice left.

Got two hibachi steak and chicken combs , as well as 4 spring rolls . It was $48. 00 , which wouldn’t be a big deal had the portion sizes been adequate . Got one combo with no vegetables and it literally had 8 pieces of steak and 8 pieces of chicken the rest was rice . Mine had vegetables, but mostly onions. The steak had no seasoning what so ever , the chicken had an undercooked texture. For $48 I was expecting more , I could’ve done a better job at home for less !
