We were looking for a good Vietnamese restaurant in Eagan and we knew about Cam Ranh Bay as it is next door to our insurance company. We had never eaten there prior to today so we thought we’d give it a try. The food was really good and well worth the price. We ate at the restaurant even though their seating is limited, but there was no problem getting a table. The lady who served us was very pleasant and the service was wonderful. I think we’ve found our new favorite restaurant.

It’s a small restaurant with a few dine-in tables. They have a very reasonably priced lunch specials and some regular dishes. Their lunch specials are pretty good value with more than decent amount of food. They also have some pho, not the best (especially if you compared to California’s standard) but it is pretty decent IMHO, maybe 7 or 8 out of 10 for the pho. Their lunch specials value are 8 or 9 of 10.

I recently ordered the orange chicken and cashew shrimp. The orange chicken was unexpectedly spicy for my children, despite not being indicated as such on the menu, and they couldn’t eat it. The cashew shrimp contained a disproportionate amount of vegetables and only five shrimp, even though a separate shrimp and vegetable dish was offered. Both dishes also had a lot of mushrooms. I called shortly after pickup to provide feedback, but the manager implied I should have specified “non-spicy” even though the menu didn’t differentiate. She also wrongly accused me of calling days later. I wasn’t seeking a refund, just offering constructive criticism. However, this experience has made me hesitant to order from them again.

We have been waiting for amazing Chinese/Vietnamese food in Eagan. Meat is high quality, egg rolls are amazing (not greasy), and great lo mein. Owner is very nice and service is top notch.

Delicious! We ordered the beef lomein and the meat was so tender. They were very generous with it also. Sesame chicken was amazing. Wontons had a ton of cream cheese. Fried rice was perfect. Planning to go back to try their Pho!
They were having phone issues when we tried to call in our order. My husband ended up just ordering in person and it was ready in 15 minutes.

I’ve been coming here pretty frequently maybe for about a year and it’s almost always the same nice lady at the front which greets you right away. The space is very small. It’s not really a dining spot as they have maybe two tables and you see people picking up food a lot. The items that I have gotten have been incredible! Super flavorful and what I would consider pretty authentic. The lemongrass chicken is a real standout dish. I think they have some of the best wontons around as well. Also, I think the lunch special is something around $12-$14 which is pretty good in the standard age, especially for the proportion they gave you. Overall, I just really love this spot. It’s kind of one of those hole in the wall is that you wouldn’t know was an excellent food unless you took a gamble and I suggest you do!

Stopped by today for the first time, and we now have added this restaurant to our list of favorites! The woman at the front desk is kind, and my order was ready within 20 minutes tops. We ordered the curry shrimp and the lemongrass. Portions and flavor were incredible and they took my spice level into consideration. I’d recommend this place to all!

If you’re looking for delicious authentic asian food, look no further. Cam Ranh Bay in Eagan is one of my favorite places to go. The pho and shaking beef are great and my favorite appetizer is the tofu with yellow curry. The staff and service is unbeatable. I highly recommend this place!!
