I tried to stop by Bon Bon for some shrimp spring rolls before a show at Cobra Lounge but they were sold out so I unfortunately had to take in the tunes on an empty stomach. After the show ended I was still really in the mood for spring rolls and even something more but I knew finding a decent option close to midnight that didn’t require a trek would be difficult.
So I was really surprised when a search turned up this random and seemingly new Vietnamese spot in River West of all places. It became clear after a little research that this was a cloud kitchen though so I was hesitant as I’ve had mixed results when it comes to other cloud kitchen ordering experiences.
Having not been to the original MK Noodle also lended to my hesitation but after noting that they had pretty good reviews I decided to give their Express option a shot. I can’t speak to the consistency with the original restaurant but I can say that the spring rolls and lemongrass pork banh mi I ordered both tasted good. Being able to add a bag of crispy, fresh fries and a can of coke to my sandwich for an additional $3 was also a nice option.
The lemongrass pork was a little on the sweet side for my taste but was still enjoyable with good toppings and a crispy, airy baguette. I really like that they have a variety of spring rolls so I was able to get an order of shrimp and imitation crab. These were really good with fresh vegetables and nice sized shrimp and crab stick pieces. Not sure if they accidentally added an order of crab rangoons or if they automatically add them if you spend a certain amount or they just felt bad for making me wait but finding an order of these was a pleasant surprise as I enjoyed my late night meal. The peanut and sweet and sour sauces that came with the order also tasted really nice.
The only reason I am putting 4 stars is that the order took a while longer than quoted to be ready. That being said I appreciated their customer support reaching out to me directly by phone to provide me with updates and apologize for the wait. This allowed me to just relax in my car and avoid all the bustle going on with all the delivery drivers and others picking up orders but when they phoned to let me know I could head inside I still had to wait a while longer for the food to be brought out.
Still, I would definitely order from this spot again.

I ordered food chicken 555 briyani. One of the most horrible food I have ever eaten.I literally threw 2 briyani’s in dustbin. Don’t waste your money on ordering this. Not sure about foods. But briyani it is horrible especially if you are from South India.

I’ve eaten at the Lincoln location a couple of times, so I was excited to see a new spot open in River West—much closer to me. I ordered the pork bánh mì for carryout. It was ready on time, warm, and nicely wrapped with a clean, appealing presentation.
The sandwich was delicious. The pork was tender and well-seasoned, and it was generously loaded with pickled carrots, daikon, cucumber, and cilantro. I appreciated the jalapeños served on the side—a thoughtful touch (though I wouldn’t mind them on the sandwich either.).
If I had one suggestion, it would be to revisit the bread-to-meat ratio. The baguette itself was fresh with a nice chewy texture, but I felt there was a bit too much bread compared to the amount of meat. Either slightly less bread or a bit more filling would bring better balance.
At $13 (including tax), it’s in line with other places offering bánh mì, but like many of them, I wish the portioning felt a bit more substantial. That said, I’m glad to have a location nearby and will definitely be back to try more items. Thanks for the tasty sandwich!

SO glad to have a good pho option within a mile of our home, even better that they are open late. The brisket was the most tender that I have ever had with pho. I found the pho broth to be very flavorful but slightly too sweet for my taste, which was easily remedied with extra lime. Delivery was fast and everything was packaged well. They include all the usual accompaniments (hoisin, lime, sprouts, jalapeno, thai basil). Looking forward to trying more items from the menu!
