Quirky little diner with awesome food, great service, and affordable prices. After hitting all our favorite eateries in Homer, we were looking for something different and ended up finding Blue Bus Diner. So glad we did. It’s an older place but it’s clean and has some very interesting decor (a cookie jar collection!) We were the only ones in the place on a Saturday afternoon, but their phone was ringing off the hook for to-go orders. So seems locals really like the place as did we. Wife and I both had a burger and fries, which were huge, and the servings of fries were also plentiful. We didn’t have a milkshake, but we saw them coming out with some to-go orders and they looked delicious. In fact, I think we’re going to swing by later to pick up a couple for our ride back to Homer 🙂 Will definitely be eating here again.

Quirky little place with awesome burgers. Probably the best I tried in Alaska this past few weeks. The location is a little remote and the look inside is a real home-like feel. The staff was super nice but the burgers were really good. I recommend the Tivoli (don’t remember if that was how its spelled) and onion rings.

What a wonderful staff. The food is incredibly delicious. I ordered the shrimp and chicken basket with tater tots. Thank you for a worth while experience.

The food is good and homey, especially the burger which is nicely seasoned. It’s a simple diner with charecter. It’s family run and very Alaskan in feel. There is a short lunch dinner menu and a breakfast menu though most days they open at 11am. Much cheaper than what you’ll find in a lot of spots down the road in Homer

No seasoning on burger and cost 27 dollars for kid burgers with milkshake which didnt even look blended. One set of fries was cold and unseasoned, impossibly rock hard and the other was undercooked, covered in grease and also cold. Service was good but wait time was 40 minutes and we waited till the parking lot was empty to order. Unfortunately we will likely not come back.

Had to wait 50 minutes for food – it looked like the cook was also taking orders and checking people out- seemed like our order was forgotten- – but food was good- bacon burger and chipotle chicken wrap were excellent- gave us tons of fries and tater tots- oh can’t forget the ranch dressing- it was awesome! Will definitely go back even though the wait was long

Absolutely love this place. It is a quaint family operated local restaurant and they are the sweetest family I have had the pleasure of getting to know. The food is absolutely amazing; I haven’t had anything I didn’t like. You can’t beat the prices either. 100% recommend!

The nicest people I’ve met here! We called in our order to go, and from ordering to pick up they were amazingly friendly, helpful and genuine.
The milkshakes are awesome (I just wish it had whipped cream) and creamy and perfect. They onion rings are the best any of us have had- light, crispy, large onions and the best homemade ranch makes a great side. Hamburgers and cheeseburgers were great (heads up they do come with a thousand island style sauce which is delicious) and great fries. The mushroom and Swiss was a hit as was the chili burger. We will definitely be back to dine in and also try breakfast! And YAY to being open for the winter!!
