We tried the new Malatang options and it was really good! Big variety in veggies and meat you could choose from, and everything was cooked to perfection. The noodles in particular were thin but chewy, which was a pleasant surprise! The interior is very spacious, and parking wasn’t a problem on a Saturday.

Great new spot! A Chinese friend introduced me to this place, and I was pleasantly surprised. The spice level wasn’t as overpowering as I expected—even the “very spicy” option had a nice, clean heat that was really enjoyable. If you’re sensitive to spice, it might be a bit much, but I found it just right. The ingredients were fresh, and the sauce bar offered a great variety. I’ll definitely be coming back soon. Highly recommend!

The pork hock was pretty tasty and came with a decent portion. The hainan chicken was tender and flavorful. The price of these two items was way lower than the every charge in the area.

The restaurant looked tidy. Bonus was we visited on a hot noon, and they had the AC running full speed! Only issue was parking could be a bit challenging.

Food is tasty. The Hainan Chicken rice and the shredded chicken were great, the pork trotter and duck were good as well. Portions are sizable and the price is excellent. Place is well lit.

Service was great, waitresses are friendly and reliable. They often came to fill up tea.

The desserts were well made and very tasty.

Definitely would return again.

4.5/5 – The combos here may well be the most value meal in the entire bay area. There is an insane amount of meat for $20. You should definitely share this (or split it for two meals).

It’s pretty yummy too! Got the pig trotter and soy chicken combo. The pig parts were well-braised and melted in your mouth. The soy chicken wasn’t dry and the had just the right amount of umami and sweetness.

Service was quick and entirely self-service since they have QR codes at each table. The location feels super new and clean as well, with bright, white furniture and a spacious atmosphere.

Would definitely recommend coming here for yummy, inexpensive and home-y meals!

Newly opened. Tried their lunch and it tastes decent. You have the option to select your own ingredients and soup base for your meal. This option goes by the weight. This place is located across the Cupertino Main Street.

A wonderful restaurant, with dishes that are delicious and very homemade flavors. We love the egg coated crape with crispy wanton inside. The pork dishes with rice or noodles are great. The free tea they serve is fantastic. Service at the restaurant is spotty, as only two people were doing everything and super busy.

Saw there was a new malatang restaurant so had to come try it right away!

This is the same setup as most malatang places… you pick out the ingredients, choose a soup base, then they cook it for you! For this place, they charge the same per-pound price for both meat and veggies. I do have to say *all* of their labels are wrong… so if you’re not familiar with these ingredients, you may be quite confused. The ingredient selection is decent, but not the best variety I’ve seen. For example, they don’t have the pork rice cake that I like 🙁

Service was great, I was seated immediately and got some instructions since I’ve never been to this location before. I picked out a bunch of ingredients and chose medium spicy soup base. It was cooked quickly and served to me right away!

The soup flavor is great – definitely taste the spiciness but it’s not so much that you can’t taste anything else. The different ingredients are cooked properly so everything tasted good!

Since this is very convenient location, I definitely see myself coming back often whenever I have spicy pot cravings. They have a promotion going on so my big pot of goodies was under $15 (pre tax/tip).

Tips: Come early for parking as this plaza is notorious for awkwardly small parking spaces and not well-equipped drivers . Recommend parking on the street by the residential area.

We arrive a little after 11am when it opens and the place is empty, how we liked it! The staff quickly says hello and allows us to pick any seats we want. We opted for an orange booth seats.

The restaurant has QR code taped to the wall where you can scan to order but the staff bought over a laminated menu for us and took our order. Within 5 minutes of ordering, the food arrived at our table.

Food: We ordered two set meals which came with main entree, rice, and hot soup (you can also choose a cold beverage instead of hot soup). The Hainan chicken came with three different sauces which I appreciate and the soy chicken was sweet and flavorful. The Hainan chicken rice is also accompanied with chicken rice. We also got an order of Egg Burrito, which was just OK. It was overpowered by the sweet savory sauce and not very egg-like taste. I think more eggs would have been better.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and offered tea and checked on us. They even have refrigerated pre-made dumplings and wontons to purchase. The overall price is friendly in my opinion especially eating in the Bay area. We are looking forward to coming back here and trying other items on the menu.

Never had soup like this before.
It’s like 14 bucks for a pound of food. A lot of selections. Grabbed some meat and veggies 2 types of noodles and deff grabbed quail eggs.
Picked the beef broth and it was amazing. They take your tray of food and add the broth you chose when it’s all hot and ready they bring it to your table.
Staff pretty friendly too.
Came here with 7 of my friends and happy with the quickness of the meals being brought out
