We are so chuffed that a delicious Thai restaurant has opened in Fairfield Plaza. Everything the chef-owners at Thai Hideaway made for us was delicious, and one of the chefs came over to our table to help us find low-sugar menu items. We chose low sugar versions of the cashew stir fry pad kana and the sizzling herb pad cha. These were delicious. The vegetables were perfectly fresh and not overcooked, and sauces had flavour without unctuousness. We also had the slightly spicy and delicious tom ka soup and tasty green papaya salad. Both were very fresh, with the tom ka containing lots of small mushrooms. Others in our party had the drunken noodles with pork and reported that it was delicious, as well as the mixed vegetables pad pak with tofu. The tofu got a big thumbs up. The restaurant is relatively new and has a unique yet well organized vibe. The servers were all very helpful. We were happy with the entire experience, which felt more like a Thai street food culinary experience than a typical “Canadian” Thai restaurant.

We experienced the best authentic Thai cuisine at this new restaurant! The chefs are two brothers who make authentic recipes from their home back in Thailand! The Tom Kha Gai and red curry are superb with so much flavor. All their dishes are delicious, reasonable price, good size portions and lots of variety. A hidden gem. We wish them great success! 5-stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was super-stoked to hear a Thai place was opening in Fairfield and now that I’ve eaten there I’m even more so.

I went there with my family, and each of us had a different dish. All of us were very happy.

I have the Praram Long Song, which I’d never had before. Delish, with an unexpected (to me) char. My wife’s curry was also very good, but was the only other one I tasted first hand.

I’ll be heading back again soon, and can guarantee they’ll get to know my face pretty well around lunch time. 😀

Went twice on our trip to Victoria. The lunch special is the right portion of food and flavours, and the standard dishes were great for sharing. The price is right and the food is delicious. There is a bike rack out front and bike routes for easy access.

Good things come to those that wait!
I happened to see that Thai Hideaway had FINALLY opened when I went to Fairfield Plaza not originally wanting to get takeaway but I am so glad I did! I ordered Tofu Thai Red Curry with side of Basmati rice and it was so good! It was a portion easily shareable for 2 people, so for a bachelor, I was able to save the left overs for the next evening…and it was just as good as the minute it was cooked! I want to tell everyone I know about Thai Hideaway but then it won’t be hidden for too long! Run, don’t walk and get in while you can! This place won’t be a secret for too long….
