We’ve heard so much about Ayumi, we had to come try it out. We arrived at the restauran, it is located in a large shopping center with plenty of parking. We walked in and were greeted by two lovely ladies who were both welcoming. The restaurant is a bit on the smaller end but it was pretty empty when we were there. They seem to get alot of pickup orders. Their menu is huge, which includes many sushi options and chinese food options. My husband ordered the Adam and Eve roll, a spicy Hamachi roll, and a coke. I ordered a California Maki roll and orange chicken rice bowl with fried rice and root beer. The server brought out two cups full of ice, with one can of coke and a can of root beer with two straws. I do prefer fountain drinks over canned drinks, but it was alright. Our sushi rolls were out fairly quickly. My california Maki sushi roll tasted fresh and simple. My husband loved his Adam and eve roll, he said it was very flavorful and fresh. My orange chicken bowl was delicious, i did share a few bites with my husband abd he agreed that it was very tasty. You do get alot of chicken and rice in the rice bowl and for a great price, I even had to bring half of it home to eat later. I have a feeling we will definitely be back to Ayumi to try more items on their menu.

Absolutely incredible experience! This is easily some of the best fusion/Japanese food I’ve had in a long time.
First off, the seafood quality is top-tier. The Uni (sea urchin) was buttery, sweet, and incredibly fresh—it literally melted in my mouth. I highly recommend the salmon topped with uni for a truly indulgent bite.
The sushi rolls are not only beautifully presented but packed with vibrant flavors. The roll with the mango and cilantro salsa was a refreshing standout, providing a perfect balance to the richer fish.
But the real surprise was the Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings. They were perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and loaded with that addictive fried garlic and chili topping. Don’t leave without ordering these! Even the tempura green beans were light, crunchy, and the perfect starter.
Great atmosphere, stunning presentation, and even better flavors. I’ll definitely be back soon!”

By far, the best sushi spot with excellent service. Everything is fresh, flavorful and reasonably priced. Popcorn green beans are a must as well as the carpaccio and chef roll.

We LOVE this place!!!!!! We’ve had a LOT of Sushi in our lifetime. This place rivals some of the best. We eat there once a week. While I am not personally fan of raw fish, there are many creative rolls that have fresh vegetables, cooked shrimp and krab. The 619 roll is to die for! My boyfriend loves it all. Everything is so fresh and so beautifully presented.
They also have a complete Chinese menu. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable.
The service is wonderful and everyone here is so friendly and accommodating. This place looks so unassuming, located in a small strip mall on Campo Road in Spring Valley. Don’t let the looks fool you. They also serve beer and wine. Do yourself a favor and give AYUMI a try. You won’t regret it!!

First-time visit that turned out to be a very good choice.
We ordered salt n pepper chickens with fried rice, egg drop soup, Red Horizon roll, and the 619 roll.
The food was delicious.
The service was very good
The sit-down dining was clean and comfortable,
There was plenty of parking, and the prices were very reasonable.

Establishment was clean and tidy. The staff service was great. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Great food, the price was even better!

Large variety of items. I was so indecisive and went for 2 Chef’s choice sushi roll which I liked a lot. One was more subtle in flavor and creamy. The other packed a punch of flavor, spicy and citrusy! Very nice balance. The hand rolls were loaded.

I’m a big lover of sushi and always finding myself traveling far to enjoy quality sushi. I’m so happy that this place has opened up right near us! We ordered 6-7 rolls and all were unique in their own ways and we ended up spending about $95 for everything and they have a promotion for a free drink! The spring valley roll was very refreshing with the mango salsa on top! The shogun had the chili oil on top and made it super delicious. I would definitely come back for the sushi.. next time we stop by, we’ll try the salt and pepper chicken wings!
The workers were lovely and super patient with us and super kind and we tipped as much as we did! It’s newly renovated and is very beautiful inside. Prices are very reasonable compared to a lot of these sushi spots serving low quality cuts of fish. Place is clean, fish taste fresh, and flavors are there.

This is a perfect neighborhood restaurant if you’re looking for something fast, affordable and delicious. We arrived with a group of 9 one hour before they closed and when we arrived they still had customers but they were able to take care of us and get all our food out before closing time. They were kind and generous and no matter if you order sushi or Chinese food, you will be satisfied!
I definitely recommend the honey walnut shrimp, popcorn green beans, salt and pepper wings, and their sashimi.
