The large Greek Salad with chicken was full of perfectly tender grilled meat, fresh romaine, klamata olives, cucumber & tomato. 2 slices of pita bread accompanied the entree. It was all very satisfying for my protein fix. Had a tropical tea which tasted surprisingly fresh too! The restaurant was clean & otherwise a safe environment to relax with your meal.

I stopped by here to grab lunch since I’m serving as a juror for Jury duty across the street. This place is inside Los Angeles Mall so it was convenient for me to come here. I looked at their menu inside and when I saw the Bacon Chesseburger, I knew exactly that’s what I wanted. I also got fries as well and decided to eat inside of the place. They have outdoor seating but I prefer to eat inside. I came right when the lunch rush happen so it took about like 15 minutes for my burger and fries to come out. The lady who brought me my food, came with 1 cup of ketchup and 1 napkins. I thought the fries were too well done so it was more crunchy and didn’t have any flavors. My burger was okay, it wasn’t the best and wasn’t the worst in my opinion. They give you a decent size of bacon and the meat patty was alright. If I was to come back here again, I’ll probably try their kabobs or pita. After you finish your food, you can empty your plate and put it in the back corner. They have TV in here if you want to watch and dine in, they also have a decent amount of seats inside.

My rating:

Food: 4 star, the burger was okay but the fries were too well done for me. The ketchup didn’t help the situation but it is what it is.

Service: 4 star, they bring your food out to you if you dine in but you can empty your plate yourself or just leave it at the table I think. I emptied my plate at the destinated area.

Atmosphere: 4 star, there a decent amount of seating inside of the place and they have a TV for you to watch to stay entertained. There also outdoor seating too but you take the risk because there are homeless people walking around Los Angeles Mall.

California Pita is the spot for fresh and flavorful Mediterranean food! The portions are generous, the ingredients are always fresh, and everything—from the gyros to the falafel—tastes authentic and delicious. Their sauces and sides (especially the hummus and tzatziki) take it to the next level. The service is quick and friendly, and the atmosphere is clean and casual, perfect for both dine-in and takeout. If you’re craving Mediterranean comfort food done right, California Pita never disappoints!

To each his own , how to use the stars with reviews. The facts are this place has been consistently good for the 20 years I’ve eaten here. Lemon chicken plate. Chicken always grilled great, rice is soft and fluffy the the salad always has fresh tomatoes and cucumbers. The plate is pricier but always feel like I had a good hearty meal.

Tried this place while on jury duty as it was close by. Had a gyro sandwich which was ok but half the meat was overcooked. Dry and some parts crunchy. Seemed understaffed and took awhile to get my order. Clean inside and some outdoor seating.. Men’s room was closed. Probably won’t come back again.

I didn’t like the interior and atmosphere inside of the restaurant, wasn’t welcoming. Food is good, but as all the other restaurants in the area overpriced. Chicken was cooked amazing and very tasty, not dry. Salad was also fresh and all food was very healthy.

I wasn’t a fan of the food, it didn’t have much flavor and definitely didn’t taste Mediterranean. I ordered the beef Kabob and it ended up being pieces of beef on top of rice and onions. The side salad was definitely not Greek and the hummus was ok. I didn’t pick the spot but definitely wouldn’t return. I guess I’m spoiled by the amazing Mediterranean restaurant by my house which is damn tasty and flavorful.

So glad that there open. I always get the Sunrise breakfast. Breakfast potatoes, sausage, eggs and English muffin and sometimes they’ll add fresh fruits. More than enough food for me. Those potatoes are soooo good and well seasoned.
