Now I’m very fussy to where I dine , I heard a lot about place called “RANGUTAN “. So thought I’d go and try it and see for myself .
Now I was left speechless, that’s all I can say ……..
If you’re looking for flavour, freshness, and food that actually hits the spot, Rangutan Food Place delivers the whole SHABANG in another level .
The chicken tikka was juicy, tender, and full of that smoky, spicy flavour you want. And the home made mummy chips like a WOW , proper homemade style — crispy on the outside, fluffy inside. I love HOMEMADE chips soo I was well happy . The masala fish bites were beautiful spiced and the fish was soft and flaky.
The sushi honestly one best I’ve had. It’s fresh , neatly presented and packed with flavour . The fish tastes clean and with high quality.
And to finish it all off I was recommended the KAMI COLA , wasn’t quite sure at first but once I took first sip i was sold! It was a perfect touch , ice cold and refreshing. Nice end to the meal . Something different .
Service-wise? Friendly, welcoming, and attentive. You don’t feel rushed, and the staff actually care about your experience. It’s that kind of place where you feel looked after. So thank you .
Most importantly for me the hygiene was 10/10.
So overall definitely a visit again soon . If you haven’t tried RANGUTAN , you’re missing out . Go check them out .very addictive.

Best food trailer I’ve come across, and I’ve visited loads across Birmingham. The menu has such a wide range of dishes – there’s genuinely something for everyone, whether you’re after something classic or a bit different.
Their chicken tikka sushi was a solid 10/10 – packed with flavour and something you don’t see everywhere. And the whole shebang. Absolutely worth the travel every single time. Properly filling and full of taste.
On top of that, the customer service is amazing. You can tell they’re genuinely passionate about what they do and take pride in their food. Just an all-round great experience every time I’ve been. Highly recommend 100%

This is just what I’ve been waiting for: a delicious halal Japanese spot in Brum. I went for “the whole shabang” which was the perfect blend of variety and portion size. It honestly felt like a never ending portion all for £13. And it wasn’t just filled with chips and rice, the masala fish and chicken tikka seemed to last forever. They sold out on the day I came, and I’m sure they’ll be selling out again, this food is seriously good (highly recommend the rice bowls and onigiri).

Went here with a couple of friends and had a great time. We decided to go for the whole shebang and it was fantastic – brilliantly prepared and bursting with flavour.
I also tried the brand new Kami Kola which turned out to be another menu highlight!!
Overall, this place has incredible food and provides great service (shout out Sam!!). Can’t wait to go back!

Just tried their food bowls and I’m seriously impressed. The Japanese fusion dishes are unique, full of flavour, and everything’s cooked perfectly. You can tell there’s real creativity behind the menu, it’s familiar but with a twist that keeps it exciting. Definitely one of the best food truck meals I’ve had in a long time.

The saucy home-made style chips (best chips ever!!) and the chicken tikka pieces were the highlight of the bowl, all the flavours and elements of the bowl came together really
The Kami Cola on the side complemented the bowl really well, it had its own unique taste not like any other cola I’ve had

So amazing! The food was absolutely delicious the chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy, tender, and full of flavour. The spices were spot on and really brought everything together. The portions are big too, so you definitely get your money’s worth. I’ll definitely be coming back again!
