The plantains were hard and cold. The rice was bland. The Mac n cheese was literally just Mac no cheese and no flavor. The salad tasted like the steamed veggies we use to get in school. Nasty. The only “Jamaican” food on that platter was the chicken. I’m very disappointed and will not be going back and the food all came up to $35. Not worth the hype.

Whenever I visit a Jamaican cuisine spot for the 1st time, I always order a patty to judge it properly….THIS beef patty tho??? One of the best I ever had!

And the jerk chicken was too good!!! You can taste the love in the food. I appreciate foods spots like this, especially when it’s small business. Real food, great tasting food & good people?? Absolutely will be returning!

First time ordering i got jerk chicken with rice and peas. I requested jerk sauce cause I like my food spicy. I got dry grilled chicken and dry rice. Nothing jerk about it and no jerk sauce as request3d by the paying customer. Some mango sauce instead. Decided to give it a second try ordered 3 meals for $60. Asked for extra gravy on my rice and only on one meal. Rice came completely dry. The oxtail was dry as well and the seasoning on the food is just not hitting like the Jamaican food im used to. Won’t be ordering again and highly disappointed

I was a little spectical about trying their food again after a bad experience with the curry goat. However, I decided to give their fish a try. The lady said she was sure I will enjoy it and she was absolutely correct! The brown stew fish is very good, the best I have tried at any Jamaican restaurant in the USA for years! I highly recommend it!

Rich flavor, vibrant color and that new cabbage they made is very hearty. By far the best Jamaican food in this city. Look forward to coming back.

So I was driving down Union blvd on my way to BJs and saw this Mobile food truck that caught my eye on Union blvd cross street is Tacoma st. “GRILL N CHILL SPOT” AUTHENTIC JAMAICAN CUISINE… If you have been following my food post then you should know that, I have been looking for a Good Jamaican food spot in Lehigh Valley, and it has been very challenging to find one, I’m from Philly and we have plenty Good Jamaican spots. Yet I am always willing to try different spots. With that being said. GRILL N CHILL gives you a lot of food, for the price, service was good. Food was good as well. I will say the rice was a lil dry and not flavorful. I still have not found that Jamaican spot in this area the search continues.

Following items in pictures:

1. Jerk chicken, rice & peas, cabbage
2. Stew chicken, rice & peas, cabbage
3. Mac & Chz

The way I whipped my car around to get to this spot, I broke my neck when I saw it! The prices were decent, quality good and I liked that there was outdoor seating as well. They accept all forms of payment and they were kind. Definitely worth a try! I got the small meat combo-stew chicken, rice and peas, plantain. 🙂

I ate there last month. The food was exciting. I got a small fried chicken meal. At first, when they gave me the container, I was like this is it. I will say I was able to eat twice with the small. The chicken was crispy but moist inside. The rice was great. The mac and cheese was great. The only thing wrong was that i didn’t ask for more slaw. Everything was stunning. The service was friendly and answered all the questions. They had a DJ. I felt like I was in a club. All the needed was some alcohol drinks, lol. They even gave me something to try for free. I wish I got the name because it was out of this world. You can sit there and eat or take it to go. I can wait to go back.
