The lady working the counter was fantastic! Very sweet and kind. I had the Siga tibs. Just a heads up this place can get pretty spicy. I didn’t really taste the beef, I would describe the flavor as “hot”. So if you don’t like spicy be sure to ask for mild. It’s a lovely little spot in the mall.

Definitely worth trying!! The food is excellently cooked, the spices are delightful, and the portion sizes are HUGE! We ordered the siga tips and had enough for my boyfriend, myself, and leftovers. We did a spice level of 3/5 which was quite hot. I’d recommend a 1-2 for a spice level that compliments the flavors of the food, any hotter and you’re eating for spices! Their iced tea is a can’t miss- the flavors are incredible and it’s perfectly sweetened!

Literally the best food i’ve ever had! I tried Queen of Sheba awhile back and while
it was good, it wasn’t impressive or anything to rave about. Amen is the best! The owners are very, very kind and passionate about what they do. I had the Hibra’s plate – I’m not vegetarian but this place is a great option if you don’t eat meat. I went back to have the same thing, and got the beef sambosas. Next time I will try something with meat. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So delicious and lots of great veg options! I work outdoors a lot, and anything that Amen Ethiopian Cafe makes with lentils really helps me power through a cold day.

The lentil soup is a great option if you’re looking for something that isn’t spicy, and the bread it comes with is always super fresh and tasty. I usually end up getting a large size cuz it’s so good and I know I’ll want leftovers for later.

The veg platter (not sure what it’s actually called) is HUGE and chock full of different things, all really good on their own or mixed up together. I’m a big fan of onions already, but the pickled onions on the salad take onions to a whole new level.

The coffee is probably my favorite in town ever since that little cafe in the MAC museum closed down (probably been like 10-15 years ago by now lol). Haven’t gotten a bag yet, but I know that I don’t really know what I’m doing brewing coffee at home so it probably wouldn’t be quite as good as getting a fresh cup there anyway.

If you’re ever out near the Valley Mall, I’d highly recommend trying them out!

They had a lot of vegan options! I got the delicious vegan wot that came with everything. The injera is sooo good, and the coffee. And the woman working there was so friendly and kind. Very grateful this place exists.

This is my favorite Ethiopian food in Spokane, it’s well made and the owners are beautiful people as well. I take my kids here too because it’s healthy for them too and they love it too and they’re 8 and 11. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

If you ever find yourself at the Spokane Valley Mall, swing by the food court and check out Amen Ethiopian Café! The enticing aromas drew me in. Everything is made fresh and packed with tons of protein—perfect for a hearty meal! The owner is super friendly and accommodating; even though they had no hummus (it was sold out), she whipped some up just for us!

I love that all the food is prepared fresh daily. The portions are generous, so prepare for a food coma afterward! We decided to share the chicken stir-fry and it was a solid 10/10! It was so good that I’m already considering trying the beef next time. Don’t miss out on this gem. They also have a variety of vegan options.

Delicious Ethiopian cuisine! This is Hibra’s Combo. Everything was delectable. Sambusas come in an order of three, but I ate one in my car on the way home, so it’s not pictured. She gave me one beef, one chicken, and one lentil sambusa. That sauce is HEAVEN. I love that this is ready to choose and go in The Spokane Valley Mall. Can I get an “Amen?!” Amen Ethiopian restaurant. Please support this business. They deserve the success and we deserve healthy options.

Sometimes the best food is found in unlikely places. Amen Ethiopian in Spokane Valley Mall is such a place, where every ingredient is imbued with love and warm tones of berbere spices that aromatically transport you to a distant culture while you absorb the food, and get a blessing from the chef. Amen has a wide range of proteins such as lentils, beef, chicken, and eggs. The Hibras Combo was pure delight in its range of flavors and textures. I’ve visited hundreds of restaurants over the years, and Amen is one of mg favorite!

Yeah a mall food court doesn’t bring thoughts of amazing food. BUT, there you go being wrong again. The family is super nice and the food was exceptional; tasty, spicy, and well made the lentils and egg stew were perfect. The ethiopian coffee was delicious and they have actual half and half for your coffee. Highly recommended
