During a vacation road trip through Alaska, we stayed in the area and were on the hunt for true Alaskan culture and food.
This place did not disappoint!
The entire look, feel, vibe, location, food, everything was on point for what we were looking for.
The place displays a lot of fun decorations and historical pictures and other things from the restaurant’s past.
You can sit indoors or outdoors. We waited outdoors after we ordered the food. We saw the whole process on where they get their fish! We saw the boat bring the fish to the dock, the guy out there that receives the fish and guts and cleans them maybe 100ft outside the restaurant. From there it’s basically ready to cook.
Fish really doesn’t get more fresh than watching them catch it and clean it while you’re waiting for your order!
Everything tasted amazing. Best fish I’ve ever had!
I recommend this place to anyone looking for an awesome Alaskan experience.

Very cute small cafe with lots of cool retro items on display. Small menu with beer and wine. Outdoor seating is so nice. Endless sea visible.

Our favorite place to eat when in Seward. The breakfast options are spectacular and well done. We’ve been there in rainy weather and loved the cozy dining area inside. We were just there on a sunny day and enjoyed our meal on the deck with otters playing nearby the entire time. Plus the neighborhood seal lion cruised by. Stunning views. Great food. Friendly service.

Great food, great price and great cozy spot with views.
I’d come back here everyday if I could. Not too busy but it’s almost end of the season.

Definitely worth the drive from Anchorage on fall day.

The fish and chips are SO good. Locally caught off their boats right out front And the fishing charter was so fun!
I caught my first rockfish! 10/10 would recommend. I will be back.

Best fish and chips in town and possibly ever! They cook with the freshest fish that the fisher men and women catch and clean right off to the side of the restaurant! They throw fish scraps to the hungry seagulls and it’s fun to watch. So good we went here three times! (Don’t get the matcha latte. It was basically hot milk with hard gummy clumps of tea.) You can’t beat the seafood and views here. Locals love it too. It’s off the beaten path but it’s probably the one of the best restaurants in Seward. The other is Fire Brand BBQ! We will miss this place.

TLDR; good sandwiches, even better fries!

We came in for a late lunch on 4th of July weekend, and it’s probably the busiest time of the year for the entire town which makes parking pretty tough.

We ordered a cheeseburger and a caprese sandwich. Both came with fries that were so incredibly crisp and stayed that way in spite of us sitting outside in the cold. The sandwich and burger were both really good too. The focaccia bread they use to make the sandwich is super nice and has a lovely crunch to it.

Orders are taken at the counter and brought to you. We sat outside – the view of the ocean is quite nice.

Beautiful location, delicious food and amazing kombucha! Tried the Shakshuka, Panini Caprese Sandwich and Greek Yogurt Parfait along with a lavendar mimosa and kombucha. We were bowled away by every single item we ordered. And a gem of a location, right outside Millers Campground. What an expansive view of the mountains and water. Saw seagulls feeding on the fish being cut at the landing. Amazing experience and will recommend to everyone traveling to Seward.

I don’t know what to call this place, kind of aid of its own. Coffee shop, lunch, wine, beer, they kind of have it all.

They have free coffee, a wood burning stove, and plenty of seating. The deck overlooking the water was most pleasant.

We ended up booking a room night of in the area and was directed to the office here as well. I highly recommend staying somewhere in millers landing over Seward.
