We found Flannery’s online in the late afternoon and there didn’t seem to be many other choices in the area.
It was a highlight of the work trip.
Delicious food that is made with fresh ingredients and great flavors. Setting was festive and a great contrast to typical chains and staff was super. Inside and outside seating. Lots of tables and parking in front might take 2 passes but so worth it.

This is one hidden gem you don’t want to pass up. You won’t find it near the big highway, however it is well worth the slight detour it will take to get to it. We were in the area for another reason and I always want to find a locally owned place like this instead of the chain franchises. We stopped mid week for lunch and the place wasn’t busy. Extremely good food at reasonable cost. The service was very personal and prompt. I was a little surprised to find a Marti Gras themed restaurant on the eastern shore. If I lived close I’d go back enough to try most anything on on the menu. This place will be on my list of places to stop when I’m near.
I had a pit beef sandwich which was absolutely delicious, tender and juicy even though it was cooked well not rare, just how I like it, and the homemade apple BBQ sauce was really a treat. Phenomenally better than the dry newspaper type beef sandwich that you get at the well known chain with the hat logo.
My wife got a serving of Poutine which in itself is a rare treat this far south. I was tempted to get an order for myself had I not been in for a 4 hour drive home, because I would have needed a nap after a full meal of such good food.

Absolutely delicious food. We had the poutine and an AYCE soup and sweet potato biscuits. The Gumbo was excellent with plenty of flavor, the poutine was so good and the sweet potato biscuits were top notch. I’ve been wanting to go here for a while, but kept forgetting. This will now be one of my go-to places when I’m in the area.

I’ve never had a burger so amazing that it brought me to tears—until today! From the warm hospitality and great music to the authentic New Orleans dishes, everything was perfect. To top it off, I had the pleasure of meeting the chef and his family!

I’m sure everything on the menu is excellent, but I had an amazing Blackened Creole Burger, Gumbo Yaya, and couldn’t resist finishing with the homemade bread pudding for dessert. This place is truly a hidden gem. If you’re visiting, make sure to stop by, and if you live nearby, you’re incredibly lucky!

So happy to find this gem of a place that serves incredibly authentic and delicious New Orleans cuisine! The gumbo, jambalaya, and shrimp po boy sandwich were absolutely amazing and perfectly seasoned! Every bite is a delight and has excellent quality ingredients! I’d definitely go back for more.

My family and I were in town for a college visit and decided to visit Flannery’s after seeing the high rating online. The ratings weren’t wrong, this place is amazing!

Chef Stewart was extremely welcoming and did a phenomenal job helping us decide what to order. We decided in the catfish, Smoked Tuna on Rye, and a Suicide sub with andouille sausage and jerk chicken. We also got an order of both plain and beef gravy fries. Everything that we ordered was amazing. Even my daughter who is an extremely picky eater loved it! We were so impressed with how good our food was that we ordered beignets and lemon cake for dessert and that was good too!

It’s very apparent that Chef Stewart enjoys cooking and that he cooked with love. He’s got a great personality ands treats you as if he’s known you forever. Now that we’ve experienced this, we plan to visit every time that we’re in town. Thanks Chef Stewart!

This place has it all. Delicious appetizers, home made bread, inspired entrees and tasty deserts to top it off. I’d come back for the gumbo alone, but then he brought out the authentic andouille sausage (which, by the way, you WILL NOT FIND ELSEWHERE on the eastern shore) on a buttery, flaky baguette with fresh coleslaw and I knew I was hooked!
