I’ve been to Curry leaf many times for their buffet but today (Sunday) my Bengali wife (Kolkata ) and I ordered a la carte from their latest Sunday only Bengali menu (pics attached). Bengal cuisine is different to your typical North Indian chicken tikka and butter chicken dishes that are served over naan bread. It’s mostly riced based and unlike Indian cuisine, bengalis do excellent Beef based dishes too. Started with the Chana chur as an appetizer and followed that up with the Aloo Bhorta and Daal. Next we ordered 3 non veg dishes, the Tehari, chicken bhuna and Rui fry. The food tasted just as if it was made at home 5/5 for the taste. Service was excellent too. The only negative thing was the lack of air conditioning inside the restaurant in the middle of August on a very humid Sunday afternoon. Will be back to try their Bengali menu on Sundays, we highly recommend it.

Another good place for Bangladeshi food. It’s little bit mix with Indian and Bangladeshi food. They have buffet options only for Saturday and Sunday (at this that’s what I experienced). Takes a little bit time to prepare food. Order ahead. Curry leaf chicken is good, also very mild spice. Kala bhuna, I would say I like the ones in Queens.

I ordered vegetarian food from curry leaf .
Daal tasted really good and fresh .
However they can improve the quality of naan .
It is too thick and doesn’t match with the naans which we usually call Asian (Indian )
Rice came with good quantity however can improve still with the quality of rice.
Overall I’m satisfied.

I am so happy that curry leaf started their Bengali menu. I can’t get enough of the beef tehari and achari kichuri! Tastes like amazing hearty home cooked food. Staffs always pleasant and amazing. Beautiful inside to dine in as well.

We initially received rotten beef teheri (1st photo) with a bad smell, prompting a complaint. They replaced it with chicken biriyani, which was average(2nd photo). They didn’t charge for drinks because of their mistake. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. The food wasn’t good, and it didn’t taste as we hoped.
N.B: also ordered fuchka & tea, those were okay.

Probably one of the low running’s restaurant. Had to wait at least 20 mins before someone came to take the order. I’m assuming he was the only person there to serve. Although it was empty they took time to complete everything. Note – there is no complementary drinking water available here. Something that’s really not acceptable. It’s known as Bangla restaurant however they don’t have fish.

We had randomly chosen this spot to break iftaar today, and we’re glad that we had. They had such a cute little buffet and it’s always hard to find a Bangladeshi iftaar buffet in Long Island. I have shared with my LI friends who look for Bangladeshi cuisine. I will come back and try the rest of their food from the menu on a different day. Great job, guys!

10/10 some of the best food I’ve ever had . I walked in and instantly felt in a cozy environment service was a little on the slower side but there were tons of to go orders so to be expected . Food did not disappoint garlic naan is one of the best things I’ve ever tasted I love it man. Right down the road from Suffolk college in selden will definitely be here a ton thru the school year
