I cannot say enough good things about this place! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed like family. Every dish was bursting with flavor. The Geba weta is rich and comforting, and the vegetarian platter had an incredible variety of lentils, greens, and stews that were all cooked to perfection.
If you’ve never tried Ethiopian food before in Alexandria area, this is the perfect place to start. And if you’re already a fan, prepare to be impressed. Highly recommend!

The injera is so moist. The veggie platter is so full of flavor. You can definitely taste the Ethiopian spices, with just the right amount of heat. Best injera and veggie platter in the DMV! Check out their market. I keep their berbere spice and red lentils stocked.

This place is amazing! First of all, I love that the veggie combo can come with fried fish! Not all places sell them together which is kind of annoying. The sambusa was flaky and delicious. The food was fresh and the fish was nice size, meaty and WELL SEASONED. Come here if you’re looking to enjoy your food and you aren’t in a rush to do so.

I am writing to express my serious concern regarding the service I received today 12/09/2025 around 2:45 PM. It is incredibly disappointing to see how much the establishment has changed since the days when Maheder was here before moving to Texas. I have been a long-time customer, and today’s experience was far from the standard I have always known.
What is most troubling is the server’s decision to add a 20% service charge—$9.64—to my bill without any explanation or acknowledgment. It appeared as though she assumed I would not notice, which is an unacceptable and unprofessional practice. Such a deliberate action reflects poorly on the integrity of your service.
I am requesting an immediate review of this incident and clarification on your policy regarding automatic service charges. Transparency and respect for customers are essential, and today’s experience fell well short of both.

First time to order food from this establishment ordered Tibs with side Shiro but when I got home there was no side dish just Tibs. Kitchen team not paying attention to the simple order. And the restaurant was not even busy. Pay attention to order please, because we cannot come back to get the missing item after driving half an hour.
