Stopped by Mein Diner as we were driving past. The food was delicious, the portions were more than adequate, service was second to none. Definitely worth a stop if you are looking for something different near Fairbanks!

Half way to the Chena Hot Springs you will find this food truck parked off the road. World class German dishes await you to savor.

At first glance, the prices seem fair for German food. However, once you receive your orders, you’ll think you ordered double portions and there was some billing error. The owner/operator is extremely nice and the food is ready as fast as you’d want food that’s actually cooked to be ready. I’ve had most of the things on the menu and couldn’t really recommend anything, as it’s all delicious! Lastly, the owner said he was prepping to cater a small wedding, so if you’re in the market for a group, definitely reach out!

We’ve tried the kasespatzle, schnitzel sandwich, pretzel and maultaschen and loved them all! The servings are large enough for leftovers (at least 1-3 more meals). The spatzle and schnitzel keep better than the maultaschen, which is basically large raviolis in a broth (which is how I chose to get it – you can also do Bleu cheese )

You must stop by if you’re in the area!
