We visited The Terrace Room for the Sunday morning brunch buffet and we couldn’t be more pleased! It was just a lovely morning. The food and service was incredible. The atmosphere is elegant.
This was just a great place to celebrate and unwind during the holiday season.
I highly recommend the chef’s special eggs – a scrambled egg dish flavored with peppers and tomatoes.
And a trip to the made-to-order omelette station is certainly a must! You can customize your order and watch it be prepared to your delight!
Great experience! Will definitely visit again.

Service was impeccable. Our server, Harris, was attentive and professional. He really cared about our experience. The food was both excellent and mediocre based on what you chose. Its the Omni – the atmosphere and decor are first class.

When I was staying at the Omni William Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh, I got to experience a part of their historical part, their restaurant called the Terrace Room. This hotel screamed history from the moment I waked in, which was awesome.

There were plenty of seating, and the architecture was really amazing, They have original molded plaster ceiling with mahogany arches. Beautiful chandeliers and elegant atmosphere. This restaurant was opened in 1916, and I got to peek into the history even just a little but by being in this space.

The variety of the buffet was pretty nice, I was liking what I was seeing. They had eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy, and so much more. What I enjoyed the most was their smoked salmon. Very fresh and tasty!

Unfortunately, I was not super hungry, so I didn’t get as much as I wanted to try. I did get some eggs, breakfast potatoes, smoked salmon, blueberry maple sausage patty, mini muffin and fresh fruits. They were all pretty tasty and I had no complaints. Their special sausage patty was juicy and packed with flavor, and smoked salmon was meaty and fresh. They were not amazing, but I was happy with their offerings.

The server was very nice and friendly. Food was better than I expected, especially the selections. I wish if I was hungry enough to have more… Regardless, I had a nice breakfast here, surrounded by rich history. Read my full review of the restaurant and food on my food blog, foodlovergirl.

My first time taking my daughter and her friend for afternoon tea! It was amazing. We all had such a good time! Can’t wait to go back. Our Butler, Mr Robert was the best! He did such a a good job serving us.

The bar food was excellent. the giant soft pretzel was the best thing on the table. unfortunately, the vegetables were sad piles of mush – fall spinach salad was a giant plate of spinach with several tiny slivers of apple. chef salad wasn’t much better. Brussels sprouts were all out. sandwiches and fries good. you have to ask to use the restrooms if you’re not a hotel guest. server kept forgetting items and couldn’t keep the water full. overall an underwhelming experience, but it could have been worse

The terrace room is located in the Omni Hotel at William Penn place in downtown Pittsburgh. This historic building is beautifully maintained, and when I walked into the lobby I was struck by how lovely it is. The restaurant is no less impressive then the lobby. The wait staff was polite, friendly and extremely attentive. I had the breakfast buffet which was excellent with a wide variety of items including a super friendly cook who will make your omelet to order all as part of the buffet. Very highly recommended.

It is a nice building, but they are not fine dining. Service is attentive, if overly familiar. Many people seemed happy to be there. Not terrible, just not competitive with some of the restaurants we have in Pittsburgh.

This restaurant staff is at a all time low. Unfortunately they are so rude, unorganized with no sense of urgency. Staff has no idea what’s going on in in the establishment. We went to get food here and was told to go the speakeasy cause it better suit us then was sent here cause that place had already done last call. Waited over an hour to get waited on. I observed a man with no shoes and vomit all over his hands and clothes whom managed to get in yet servers didn’t notice. I was speaking to the MGR when I then noticed this walker man and the MGR said something. Place lacks situational awareness food was blahh, wasn’t worth the wait hassle or even for me to the leave out my room. Atmosphere comes from the hotel sitting areas.

Let me start my review with our top star service. Robert was the best, he has waited on us before and never disappoints. Thank you Robert!!!!
We used to love dining there. Our friends get us a 250 certificate there every Christmas. When we booked the reservation it did not say they were using the lobby menu!!!! 3 dinner items only. All of which I did not care for. No meat on the menu. We spent 260.00 and was very disappointed when we left.
I told my husband to let our friends know to stop getting us this for Christmas!!! Sad what that beautiful room has turned in to.
