We had our Friday Night Rehearsal Dinner / Welcome Party at Riversbend and it was perfect! Lindsay was so fabulous to work with. Very good communicator and great pizza chef! We had drinks, pizzas, salads, and the most delicious cider donut sundaes for dessert. Our guests enjoyed the stunning marsh views and the cozy glow of the wood framed indoor space. It was the best vibes to kick off our wedding weekend, expressing to all of our friends and family why we love living on the North Shore. I would highly recommend! Thank you Team Riversbend!

I had my wedding here at Riversbend on November 9th, 2025. Due to my 94 year old Mom’s failing health, we pushed our wedding plans up. I only had about a month to put my wedding together. It turned out beautifully. Lindsey the owner was so helpful, kind, and accommodating. I highly recommend this business. The food was superb. We had Filet Mignon as our primary entree. My guests loved their meals. The natural beauty of the property was magical. Lindsey coordinated and guided me every step of the way.
My husband and I were so grateful to her. I’m so happy to have found this venue. It’s truly a hidden gem.

I highly recommend Riversbend as a venue for any special occasion. It’s a lovely space in a stunning location and Lindsay is super easy to work with. She made everything ‘just right’ for my recent ‘big’ birthday- no detail overlooked! We chose a menu together and the chef did not disappoint! Everything was delicious. I just love the setting on the banks of the prettiest tidal river in the world! The room is warm and welcoming with big picture windows showcasing the view. Outdoor space and deck are spectacular, too. The service is very personal and efficient.
Forget hotels and country clubs for a wedding- this place is family run and it shows- you feel like you’re part of the family and so do your guests!

Okay, This place has spectacular grounds both inside and outside patio. 5 stars for that. Another 5 stars for our wait staff and the homemade lemonade..spiked is what I had.
However, disappointed in the Rubeun Fried fish sandwich..a frozen patty..couldn’t believe it in Essex. That is why I gave a 3 star rating.. Had fresh fish been given as one expects, I’d give it the 5 star.
Going back for sure..Pizza and spiked lemonade.

We had a large group for a birthday party this weekend, and Riversbend did not disappoint!! Lindsay made planning easy, and Lauren & Michelle took great care of us during the event. Our guests raved about the food, drinks, service and of course the view. Most of them had never been to Riversbend before and they all said they would be back! Thanks Lindsay and team!

I saw the reviews other people left that this place is not friendly to nonwhite people. As soon as I walked in, I was embraced by an overwhelmingly Indian-friendly environment. More specifically, Jack Woodruff’s spectacular fries and Laird Gerdes’s masterful serving skills really elevated my whole experience.

Beautiful setting on the Essex river. Great indoor and outdoor dining options. Have come here with larger parties many times and they are always able to accommodate. Great restaurant for kids. The food is pretty good, but the service has been very inconsistent in our experiences.
