We visited Something French today with a group of 20 French students, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The food was authentic, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Most students ordered Croque Monsieur, Quiche Lorraine, or crêpes, and every single one of them loved their meal — which says a lot!
The service was efficient, friendly, and incredibly accommodating, especially for students with different dietary needs. I also purchased a baguette and a chocolate éclair, both of which were outstanding.
All in all, it was a fantastic outing, and I highly recommend Something French to anyone looking for genuine French flavours and great service.

Cosy cafe with amazing friendly service and decent prices for good portion sizes.
The soup of the day was mushroom, and it was tasty. It was served with fresh baguette slices and butter which paired perfectly with it. The montagnarde crepe was a little oily but tasted quite good. The macarons had distinct, sweet flavours.
Would definitely recommend. Can’t fault this place.

Cafe in the day, restaurant in the night. Cosy vibes for brunch. Quiche smoked salmon was out of the world, crispy/flakey, well seasoned and balanced as a dish. 3 fromages crepe was excellent, and butter lemon sugar crepe- that sour zest balanced with its sweetness

Venue: a few carparks in the front or fee payable street parking in the daytime. Café by day. Simple decor with something French. French music. Relaxing atomphere. Bistro by night (different setting) at the rear. Need to make reservations for dinner. — 7.4/10
Service: café is not busy on weekdays. One asian looking staff at the front desk. Chilled tap water and menu were given when we sat down. No beverage menu. Order and pay at the front desk. Resonable waiting time for food. The only one server can speak French. He seems unhappy to serve when the customers could speak french – he stayed back. Not so friendly. But, he handled food and drinks carefully. — 7.2/10
F&B: authentic French food. Good presentation. normal portion. Resonable prices. Lunch was good. I’m expecting next dinner.
– Duck à l’orange served with roasted baby potatos and baby carrots, $29: meat was tender. Orange sauce was good. Some of the tiny caramelized potato cubes were overcooked – very bitter. — 7.7/10
– Lunch Special, Chicken & Pistachio Terrine with Toast, $13: 4 crispy toasts. — 7.5/10
– Hot Latte
– Hot Chocolate
Takeaway:
Pain Au Chocolat, $6.5,
Croissant Aux Amandes, $7.5
Millie Feuille, $8
Crispy. Still very good. Good quality

We went for early brunch. The place is cosy, although we missed the main entrance door at first. The service is superb, felt very welcoming and the waiter is very accommodating. Ordered the wild mushroom with sourdough and poached eggs. Loved it! Ordered their flat white and also pastries to go. Best of the four is the croissant. Overall very friendly service and great food.

What a gorgeous find! My friend and I had a delicious brunch, and enjoyed it so much we returned later in the day for afternoon tea! The eggs en meurette was a hearty delicious dish, and later in the afternoon came back for the divine lemon & sugar butter crepe. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the coffee was some of the best I’ve ever enjoyed.10/10 coming back again.

after previously having a beautiful lunch here we were excited to go for dinner. However the little dark restaurant area was a surprise and not quite so inviting. The food was as excellent as we expected and we were almost licking our plates until desert. A disaster. Creme brûlée, unfortunately it was burnt on top which was unpleasant black flakes under the toffee. The pavlova with a wild berry sauce was a rock hard meringue that took lots of hits with a spoon to shatter, just to get some pieces of it. Never had to shatter a pavlova before. Poor ending to a lovely meal. We did enjoy the wines by the glass though.
