I used to live in Walnut Creek and visit often. I’ve moved out of the area and haven’t found any place that can match their food or service. So now I travel some distance for the awesome food and fantastic staff. It’s worth the drive. You won’t regret it and I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and they’ve been there longer. You can say they treat everyone like family and cook with lots of love.

Everyone has their favorite Mexican food spot so this 5 star rating is subjective, but the day we stopped by we were on our way out of town. We were impressed by the service right away. Chips and salsa to start was very good (this was a good sign.) I had fajitas and my wife carnitas soft tacos. Both were very good and we were stuffed. Thus place is definitely worth being in the rotation.

They have a nice quiet outdoor seating area. The food portions are large. The drinks are priced right. The servers are quick and polite. This is an old resturant that has survived all the redevelopment in downtown Walnut Creek. They must be doing something right. See you next time!

You can judge a resturesta by it’s clients. The food is good service is good. Price is a reflection of the location. Too much for too little want great Mexican food make sure you see many Mexicans enjoying it. Many better places off monument Blvd in Concord with home made tortillas. This is good Mexican food for non Mexicans.

Service and food is amazing! It’s become one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. The service is fantastic and the workers are very personable. One of the owners Cathy is very friendly, personable and helpful. Our server I think he was named Grant was fantastic. Very personable and gave great food recommendations! We had the Chips and salsa, Carne Asada Tacos and burger and they were phenomenal! The food had so much flavor you don’t even need to add any sauce, salt or pepper! Would highly recommend! Thanks for the great food and service La Fogota.

I remember coming here over 20 years ago while working @ Nordstrom. So I decided to go back since it was still around. Unfortunately my memories of the food were better than the food I received. The chips and salsa were ok. But my burrito was heavy on the salt. It made it tough to eat. I wanted to like it but there are other Mexican food options that I will go to.
