This place is amazing. I’m from the West Coast where Great Mexican food is everywhere. That greatness can be found at Mi Rancho, a hidden gem in a food desert like Groton Connecticut. Excellent food and service. And they do delivery too!

Hands down the best Mexican restaurant in Groton if not all New London county. The food is great, the portions phenomenal and the price is more than fair. It is a shame that more people don’t know about it because of its location next to Post Office. If you haven’t tried it give it a try. It also makes Italian and standard American fare.

The worst place ever, the meat was very dry and you could feel the taste of spoiling on it, and the person in the kitchen does not know how to cook. The fries were nasty and the worst thing they did was put my bread on my companions plate so i had to put my hands in his plate to grab my toast. We tipped 5 dollars because the waitress was good, very nice woman she doesn’t deserve to work at such a place.

I moved from San Diego over a year ago. I’ve been on the search for somewhat decent Mexican food since then…. FINALLY I tried Mi Rancho and I’m so happy I did! The steak burrito is so so good! I was also very impressed with their salsa.
The service was great, food made to order, and absolutely delicious. I will 100% be coming back here when I need my carne asada burrito fix 🙂

Genuine Mexican food choices with friendly staff and reasonable wait times. They do pick up orders to-go. If your craving Mexican I would recommend eating at the restaurant… It’s cozy, not crowded or loud, and you will be able to enjoy the food fresh not soggy.

In my opinion, this place is one of Groton’s best-kept secrets. The food is absolutely delicious, and always on point! I lived in Houston for almost 5 years, so I like to think that I know my Mexican cuisine … Mi Rancho makes me feel like I’m back in the south again! The cooking is flavorful and traditional, always fresh, and I assure you, you’ll be hard-pressed to find anything comparable in this area. If you’re unsure what to try, give the chicken flautas a go – one of my favorites!

You will be hard pressed to find this good of food anywhere in the area for as cheap as this place. Huge dinner sized portions of fresh steak dishes for $11…unbeatable. I knocked one star off due to slow service and leathery tortilla chips. But I will definitely be back.

Food is good, Ordered here regularly. Though they do not sell the lobster grinder, but it is still on the menu. And now they do not sell roast beef while EVERYTHING is still listed on the menu. “we do not sell roast beef anymore.” Then please get new menus. Just be cautious on what you want to order. They just might not have it even if it is listed that they do.

The food was over spicy, for no reason. I ordered carnitas and it was drenched in their salsa…. not tomatillo sauce. My son had rice and beans and my boyfriend ordered the burrito which was drowned in their salsa, unnecessarily. If you want quality mexican food, dont go here because I was disappointed on every front and you will be too.
