I’ve been here 5+ times, and have loved everything I’ve tried! The people who work here are so nice – I love that they use local coffee beans and that they have a variety of homemade coffee syrups. The breakfast sandwiches are so good on either the in house focaccia and croissant but my favorite thing there is their gooey toffee butter cake!!!

Enjoyed a Sunday morning brunch at Chez Michel. The food was phenomenal! I tried the Strata, egg pastry and chocolate croissant. Each was just as good as the next but the egg pastry was my personal favorite. Buttery soft, flaky and perfectly warm. Looking forward to returning to try the illustrious “Avon’s best corned beef” as seen on the sign or the buildings exterior.
Would love to see more of the French heritage told through the buildings decor!

first time here. grabbed a sandwich for lunch since i forgot mine on my kitchen counter. WOW. everything right down to the pickle spear was perfect. it was certainly enough for two, though i didn’t bother because it was too good to leave half for later. such a cute little shop. i wanted to buy all the baked goods, but i will save that for my next visit.

I just stopped in this morning and had the hardest time deciding what to order because it all looked SO good. I don’t know if you can tell in the photos but the items are GIANT especially for the price. The owner was one of the sweetest humans ever and was so helpful! I went with the Strata (Meat croissant bake), the Egg Ham and Cheese Croissant (Made fresh when I got there), a french toast bar, and a Glazed Croissant. I could be happier with my selections. It is such a cute place with a ton of great options, I want to try the hand pies next! Definitely give this place a try, they also have a market part in the front with many jams and jellies and more!

A special place I found when searching for the best bakery in Avon as I was doing errands. There’s nothing like a good croissant and fresh handmade pastries. It’s an instant favorite and they support other locally made products. The biodegradable to go coffee cups are much appreciated too.

Very disappointing! Ordered the bacon egg and cheese croissant and there was one slice of bacon on it and no seasoning and you couldn’t taste any cheese! The strata has 2 potatoes in it all together and was not seasoned either. We ordered cinnamon rolls and received French toast bake instead because they forgot to take them off their page. Wont be ordering again from there again as this was the first time ordering from this place.

I recently visited Chez Michel French Market on a whim. I had remembered they had posted some photos of sandwiches on their Facebook page and I was really craving a GOOD sandwich for lunch. They didn’t have sandwiches advertised, so I has to ask the lady working there and they did have a few selections of specialty sandwiches. I ordered the brisket sandwich and I was not disappointed! It was messy, but delicious – on a pretzel bun. It also came with a side of house-made chips. I also took home one of the items from the bakery case (cake pop) for dessert!

This is a very cute shoppe! They have multiple cooler cases with lots of delicious looking treats & desserts. I even saw a section for Gluten Free in the cooler case!! They have many different items other than the pastries in the cooler case. I saw house-made pastries (cookies, sweet breads, muffins, scones, mini-donuts), breads, specialty meats and cheeses, salsas, jams, floral elixirs, dried pastas, oils, spreads, relish, mixes and beverages too! They also carry Ben Heggy’s Gourmet Chocolates and candies! They also have seasonal cookies (when I was in, they had Cleveland Brown, tulip and panda chocolate dipped/decorated Oreo’s! Very beautiful and delicious looking. (haha).

This shoppe is a definite stop at location if you are in town from out of town and regular visit if you’re a local!

Even cuter than you can imagine upon hearing the name. Top-notch bacon, egg and cheese croissant and well-chosen Lekko coffee on drip. Can’t wait to return.

Lovely little bakery with real pastries and they are deliciously hot first thing in the morning. Just know there is no seating so it’s a pick up and leave but absolutely love this place! Will be back!

I stopped in looking for something different for lunch. The grilled cheese in a flakey pastry crust was very tasty. I also purchased a pumpkin apple turnover. The pumpkin is subtle in the chopped, lightly sweetened, cinnamon apple base. Wonderful item to finish a meal. Would also be a nice breakfast item.
