If you’re looking for southern home cooking, this is where it’s at. Both breakfast and lunch/dinner are delicious! The baked chicken was super moist and tender, green beans and collards were super flavorful, and the cornbread is literally the best I have ever had. Can’t wait to come back!

Super cute and quaint little place on the square. Parking is limited but the city parking deck is across the street. I was torn about the food. The ham was dry and the macaroni and cheese was tart for some reason, almost a sour flavor. But the collard greens, southern dressing and the cornbread were out of this world. My daughter got the salisbury steak and said it was delicious. I loved the atmosphere, the ability to sit outside on the square and people watch, and the ladies that run it were super sweet. I love supporting local businesses and I will definitely be back. So many more things to try.

Cozy little spot with super friendly service and good food! Went on a rainy Saturday and enjoyed it. Staff were extremely nice – and breakfast is $12 for a lot of food. Got their specialty breakfast. ❤️ I will be going back.

The pics deceived us. No fry tenders with waffles. They do not have a menu. They cook every day different items. Depends of the day is what is available. Food is for to go. No waitress service. I don’t know why people says great atmosphere. Is none. Like the American Deli of the Southern food. We drove extra miles to come here. Not the style they advertise.

The customer service was amazing at this place. The cashier was very helpful with answering my questions. I ordered smothered pork chop, Mac and cheese, and cornbread stuffing. The food was delicious and nice portion sizes. A must try if your ever in downtown Carrollton.

Just stumbled upon this lovely little restaurant while traveling! The owner and the young lady who took our order were so friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. And it’s tucked into this cute little tree lined nook just off the square. The food was delicious- seriously – the best baked chicken I have ever eaten! It was juicy and the flavor was utter perfection! The meatloaf was wonderful and the sweet potatoes were like dessert! I even loved the corn muffins and I don’t like corn muffins! I love everything about this wonderful place. I highly recommend a stop here.

Food was good and flavorful. The smothered pork chop fell off the bone and the Mac and cheese was actual good. My only critique would be there wasn’t that many meat choices to choose from. From the meat selections there were only 3-4 meats and they were out of the meat that I wanted. The banana pudding was good as well. The cookie pieces were crunchy and not soggy and the pudding wasn’t a mushy mess like some places. Overall I liked my experience.
