Had a great experience here. I ordered the papaya salad and was genuinely impressed — it had a perfect level of spice, bold flavors, and a really generous portion. You can tell it’s made with care and confidence, not toned down for convenience.

I also tried the Vietnamese pancake, which was excellent: crispy on the outside, flavorful, and satisfying without being heavy. It held its shape beautifully and was clearly made fresh.

Overall, this place delivers thoughtful, well-executed vegetarian and vegan dishes that don’t compromise on flavor. Definitely a spot I’d return to and recommend to anyone looking for standout vegan food in the $10–20 range.

Amazing vegetarian Vietnamese restaurant!
The food is full of flavor, very authentic, and well balanced. I had stir-fried noodles with vegetables and sauce, and it was perfectly seasoned, light, and satisfying. You honestly forget it’s vegetarian because everything tastes so good.

Friendly service, quick, and a simple but welcoming atmosphere.
Highly recommend for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. I’ll definitely be back!

This is a hidden little gem. If you like authentic Vietnamese food, this is a great place to go. They are known for their pho. When we went, they were super busy but we are able to get a booth.
I was very impressed with how friendly and efficient the wait staff were. Even though they were very busy, they made you feel as if you were the most important person in the room when they interacted with you.
The food came out fairly quickly and was quite tasty and very filling. They gave you pretty large portions. More than likely you’ll be taking home the extra.
We will certainly be coming back again in the future. I highly recommend this restaurant. They certainly prioritize customer service and they do a great job.

An amazing, complex soup of savory flavors and satisfying textures. Menu item #7, vegetarian soup, is as good as any pho I’ve ever had!

Small restaurant located in a strip mall. The ladies running the place are very nice. We had the bun bo hue which was so flavorful. They also make their vegetarian “Fermented fish paste” that’s available on the table as a condiment for the bun bo hue which was so special and delicious. They recommended their “salted fish” fried rice, com chien ca man, which is new on their menu but I can already tell, it’s going to be one of their classic dishes. The rice was nice and moist and the flavors all married together very well. One of the best fried rice and bun bo hue dishes we’ve had and that’s comparing and including dishes with meat. I hope someday they’ll be able to extend and open a bigger place to share their cooking talents with more people.

This place is actually vegan and not just vegetarian (I speak Vietnamese and I asked). Awesome authentic food, super friendly people! You can eat in, order from the menu for take-out, or order some of the ready-made dishes to go. I’ll be coming back often.

Edit: Almost 1 year later, and I come here pretty much weekly! They have awesome homey dishes with generous portions, and great entrees for takeout. They also recently added more dishes to the menu and it’s amazing!

Had Bun Hue. Very tasty bowl. Doesn’t have that aftertaste from soy based products. Soup based tastes with infused vegetables. The bowl looks small, but packed with big portion. Price is ok. Small establishment with only 3 tables that can sits 4. Also has Togo food items.

Delightful little Vietnamese eatery serving massive portions of vegan and allium-free cooking. Dieu Huong (previously known as Thanh Van) Restaurant serves more varieties of tofu and seitan than I originally thought possible, with each dish packed with flavor, protein, and veggies. They sell each of their dishes by weight / container, so it’s a great place to go if you just don’t want to cook for the week or want to stock up on a bit of delicious Vietnamese vegetarian cooking.

However, if you do manage to snag a spot at one of the four tables inside their tiny, hole-in-the-wall shop, you can sample a few of their lovely dishes immediately. I visited for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, and my friend and I both got one of their combo platters, which comes with three dishes of our choice, a bed of rice, and a side of soup. I honestly could not tell you what any of the dishes are called, as we decided to just try to sample as many of the selection as possible, but every single item was incredible. It was all packed with flavor and had a phenomenal texture; both tofu and seitan act like sponges and soak up all the sauces and seasonings, so each bite feels like an explosion of flavor.

If you aren’t sure what to get, I would recommend just getting a combo platter to sample as many things as possible, and then get a to-go container of whatever your favorite was. Or, if you want a slightly more curated experience, they also have a menu with pre-selected combinations or soup / noodle dishes you can choose from.

I cannot believe this place exists. It’s a dream!! I went for the first time today and had no idea what I was doing. The woman who helped me was SO nice and funny. I just pointed at things that looked good and she told me what they were I ordered the rice + 3, which is basically when you get a ton of rice and point to three things on the bar and it’s put on top. It’s amazing as a vegan being able to eat anything I point to lol. The food was absolutely incredible. Super flavorful and plentiful for the price!!! I’m so sad I didn’t find this place sooner since my move to DC. I will definitely come back!!

Incredible food. The best Vietnamese in the area for vegetarians. The spicy soup has a flavor I haven’t had anywhere else. The inside has been completely re-done and is very nice.
