Restaurant was dead(people at 3 tables) when we got there. Got the option to sit wherever we wanted. Server was friendly and attentive. Food came pretty quick. Everything, salad, chicken, shrimp, Mac and cheese tasted off. Very bland. All of it. Quaint little place, but I see why it’s dead. Food is overpriced for what you get and the taste. Didn’t even get a to go box because food was blah. For what it’s worth, the fries were good. Overall, food experience is a negative but it’s a nice little place, but we won’t be back. I’ll stick with Ground Pati in Kenner

Had i really good experience trying a new place last night… everyone was nice , including some of the guests. Had the cheese triangles, crab and shrimp au gratin, and the chef salad with added grilled shrimp. Wife had the chicken with spinach dip on top and a loaded baked potato. Atmosphere was cozy, bathrooms were clean, and they even had an attached bar in the other room. The only tweaking i would say would be on thickening the shrimp and crab au gratin a bit, due to it being a little watery, but it was still delicious with little breads. Other than that everything was great. Will be back and even picked up a gift card to give to a friend. Thanks

First time here and everything was really good! Everyone working was very attentive and checked on us several times. The nachos with chicken were a great appetizer and the Cesar salad was delish! They also had several options available for sides which was cool. Lots of tables and people but the noise level was still very quiet and relaxing. The lemon drops were great too!

I usually do not leave reviews, but thought this one was necessary. This was our first visit. First, we were not greeted when we walked in and it seemed that we were not very welcomed to dine in. The young man that sat us was very unfriendly, but we gave it a chance. The restaurant was not very busy due to it being a Monday evening, but he kept huffing and puffing and generally displeased to be a server. It took quite a bit of time for our drinks and I did not receive a mug with my bottle of beer, as he offered one. The young lady that brought my burger to me, placed the plate on top of my beer. If i did not grab it, my bottle would’ve spilled all over me. Once our food arrived, WOW, it was great! This place has a lot of potential since the food was fabulous. Just need to adjust the service. Also, when we were leaving, there were no outside lights. Edit: i forgot to add that our server never came back to ask about our food or thank us for coming in to dine.

Service is very good. Waitresses always come and check on you. The food is always good, everytime ive been here, is all good. The place is nice and its been renovated. The last time i was there i had the red beans and rice w a pork chop. Filled me up and the taste was by far one of the best in the area. Their chicken sandwich is very good also. Lunch is a bit pricey but worth it for the taste. Id say about $25 w a tip for an average lunch. The other plate is Chicken stew with vegetables, very tasty, deff not what i thought. I also heard that their beef stew was great. I have to come in another time and try it.

Hey NOLA (especially those in 70123), you’re missing out! The 70123 is a fantastic little restaurant, serving AMAZING food at a SPECTACULAR value, especially when compared to the prices you’ll pay closer to the Quarter or other touristy areas.
Located near the Elmwood area (where we were staying), The 70123 had an impressive menu, open-style table seating, and an attached bar and gaming area. The service was quick, thorough, friendly, and responsive throughout the meal.
The burgers and po’boys were HUGE, hot, and tasty. The gumbo was better than anything we had tasted in the Quarter. When the simple chef salad arrived, DANG, it was massive, with fresh, succulent ingredients.
This Hoosier family loved our meal and the friendly atmosphere of The 70123. If you’re in the area, check it out!

Well, we came back for my 62nd birthday dinner on 11.16 and they did not disappoint! We both had the 12oz Ribeye’s cooked medium, Loaded Baked Potato and Caesar Salads!
Perfection indeed! Got the bread pudding to go but this time we got 2.
Again, we’re going back to try more on the menu…..you don’t know what you’re missing out on if you don’t try the food!

i was reading a blog and they mentioned The 70123 so looked at the menu and decided to check it out. we went for lunch and the prices were midrange but the portion size was huge – so while the salad was $14 it was enough for 2-3 people.
we started with the stuffed mushrooms which were good and filling and then got the grilled shrimp remoloude wrap, the shrimp poboy, the hamburger and the fiesta salad. each item was good with enough flavor and large portion. it was good new orleans style food
the service was also good so would definitely recommend this place

The 70123 has been open for around 4 months and they have nailed it! Great friendly service and the food was amazing. We got the crab and shrimp au gratin, roasted cauliflower and crawfish bisque, and a boiled shrimp remoulade wrap, everything was fresh and tasted amazing. The staff is very attentive and treated us very well. Highly recommended. We will return.

Waitress and staff were friendly and nice, didn’t care for the gumbo as you can see below. Club sandwich was delicious. People around me plates of red beans looked amazing burger was average but over cooked. Loved the atmosphere.
